On the Stackhouse wagon as well. Shoot for stars type of hire right there.

Now he might take his job. Damn.

Guvna, it was posted and it is clear that Stack has the fight that Horny never did. On the other hand, Horny was a smiling sack of shyt after getting beat bad. Go figure.

Im not sure they are ready
This fan base is definitely NOT ready to accept winning next season. That's a fact. Just reading through these pages surely proves that the vast majority want to tank to draft much higher. JVG will never accept that. Never.
If they're not ready for a woman, perhaps they'd prefer a boorish, erratic, and uncaring billionaire with no track record as head coach.
It's happened before.

Re: Who do you want as coach?
We have had 13 HCs(going on 14) and 11 GMs. Since the turn of the century. Since Dolan took over. In that time...we've only had 4 first rd picks!! J/K about the picks. The rest is exactly what Morey was talking about. With this next decision...we may be waiting for another HC/FO change!!!

Re: Who do you want as coach?
Today basketball seems a lot more about systems. If the Knicks hire an ISO coach. They're screwed. If they hire anyone who requires a ball dominant point guard, they're screwed. Today's NBA is about ball movement to create space and the best percentage shot.

Re: Who do you want as coach?
I voted for that Jay guy that i know nothing about other than he coaches Villanova and the Knicks should be becoming younger. Ex.Draft picks/Slight rebuild
Otherwise: Stackhouse seems to be the favorite so far. He is young, and is on the staff of a top team. Taking away from a top rival team is a sound offseason strategy imo. In a way it isnt a pressure filled decision, Knicks could make Stackhouse a ‘mulligan/stopgap’ hire given a potential tank tear next year.

Not hating the due diligence. Just hating the candidates they picked

I am a Turkish Kanter and Knicks fan. I heard about David Blatt when he was in Cleveland, and checked back news about him in Turkish basketball circles, he is considered a legend as a couch in Europe leage. I am not a basketball expert by no means, but he made an average Turkish team a Eurocup winner, just in two years, everyone I read praises him, and I thank him personally for his work on Turkish basketball.

Re: Who do you want as coach?
I have no doubt Blatt have the best basketball mind in this coaching search list, and in term of X's and O's he's top 5 in the NBA.
The only problem I see is that Knicks is kinda a mess organization and he will suit better when he gets a full control to build a team, with patience from the front office. If that would be the case, Blatt would do amazing.
He's my first choice here.

Re: Who do you want as coach?
Wiretap :
The New York Knicks have added Mike Woodson to their list of head coaching candidates.
The Knicks also plan on meeting with David Fizdale, Mark Jackson, Jerry Stackhouse and David Blatt.
Woodson was fired by the Knicks in 2014 after two seasons, but he isn't considered in their top tier of candidates.
Blatt coached a Turkish team to the Eurocup title season.
The Knicks plan on continuing their rebuild next season before pursuing free agents in 2019.
That’s good news
And I personally want the Villanova clean sweep mikal at 9 Brunson in the 2nd and Jay coaching

He's not a leader of men though. All the coaching in the world doesn't matter if no one listens to it.

Re: Who do you want as coach?
Blatt's problem in Cleveland stemmed from being given 3 huge egos at once, all of whom were used to being the guy on their teams, then trying to make them buy into the system. Couple that with LeBron wanting his own guy as HC, and the FO wanting to appease LeBron at all costs, and that's a difficult situation for anybody, let alone a rookie coach
I think Blatt deserves another chance in the NBA, but I'm not gonna be clamoring for him to come here. I'd take Stack, Fiz, and JVG before him
