An interesting trade brought up by Kevin O'Connor (not reporting anything just hypothetical).
CJ McCollum for Frank + 1st rounder. McCollum is only 25 and is a proven scorer who could be a good fit next KP. I know it's hard to trade a rookie after his first season but it's not like CJ is some old veteran. Just an interesting idea.

I’d like CJ somehow WITH Frank if possible.
But keep in mind he’ll be 27 before he gets to play with a healthy KP. We don’t have an urgency to make that type of trade. Nothing to see there IMO.

The problem with all win now moves right now (and yeah, CJ is only 25, but still), is KP is gonna be out for most of the next year. So if only you think CJ+scrubs can carry this team to the play-offs without KP, its a pointless move.

Its better to wait and accumulate assets until KP is ready in 19/20. And then make win-now moves.

Wiz may trade Beal. I would try Hardaway, Kanter, and Mudiay for Beal and 2 bad contracts

In all honesty, I think Wall is on the market. I don't think it is wise to make a "win now" move this summer, but that will be something to keep an eye on. The team seemed happier when Wall was out and it was Beal's team.

FWIW if Doc can keep his job, I can see the Clippers making a move for Wall.

No... it's a great move. We get a top young guy locked in (besides KP)... and end up with a bad record. So, we'll get a higher pick (assuming it's not involved in a trade) to surround them with. Looking ahead, we will have no cap room next year (2019 summer). This summer is really the one where we have the most flexibility if Kanter opts out. We can really make a lot happen (uneven trades salary-wise) since we'd be under the cap.

Then, when KP comes back, we'd have 2 true good players and a high draft pick to build around.

That screams treadmill team. None are superstars, and in Parkers case his defense is pretty bad.

The three trades and four moves I could see happening:
1. Trading Noah for cap space. You MUST get back a late 1st in return.
2. Trading Lance Thomas for cap space with the late 1st you got for Noah.
3. Trade Ron Baker, Courtney Lee and KP for Kawhi Leonard.
4. Hopes Kanter opts in but if he opts out, you can still resign him for less and use his cap hold to add MLE/LLE. Kanter is mandatory for NYK.

This gives you max cap space for LeBron James or Paul George.

Frank/Burke
(PG13)Hardaway Jr
Kawhi
(LeBron) or Beasley
Kanter

I don't see a deal you can get Kawhi otherwise. Boston simply has much better pieces for trades as does Philly. But no one can offer a legit young star like KP who can be a top 5 player other than NY. It's a high-risk trade but clearly you only do this if you think you can sign LeBron or PG13.

That's not a problem as DeAndre is also a FA and expecting 15-18 mil per. So, you will have options.

I doubt the Knicks organization feels the same way about LeBron James.

we want to rebuild. we aren't going for any quick fixes. paul george is not coming here. knicks arent trading kp for kawhi. lebron will never come to new york because he's a pussy and we don't want him either. deandre jordan is not that good either and will not come here
