Ideally I'd like us to beat both but I don't think we can overcome this injury bug.

...Why? There is no shame in losing to a team as good as Philly without our best players. If we put up a good fight, that's a great confidence builder for our team going forward against a team we'll likely see a bunch over the next few years. And if we somehow win, that'll be a hell of an accomplishment to get to the ECF with such a young group.

Losing to a Bucks team who's been mediocre all season and are being led by an interim coach would be way more embarrassing.

Still confused about the hate for philly lol. Is it jealousy because the media shows them love? Lol, kinda sad.

It's most definitely insecurity because they have a bright future. Personally, I welcome the challenge. I could see it being like the Eastern Conference version of the Spurs/Lakers battles from the late 90s/early 2000s

Utah has no stars (Mitchell will be one and on verge) but plays great together and has pieces that fit really well together. Vs OKC who has 2 legit stars and one older star and just looks so much better As a group. Glad we have Hayward but the Jazz are a fun team to watch.

Also very excited for NO. Bummed AD is not going 2 get dealt for sure. However, I'm excited to see Playoff Rondo with AD and Holiday take on the Warriors. If Curry isn't 100% hope it gets interesting.

All three series are far from over but the narrative that "stars win in the playoffs" gonna take a bit of a dent IF Pacers, Jazz, and Celtics all win over teams led by LeBron, Russ/PG, and Giannis although you can make an argument that Dipo, Mitchell/Gobert, and Horford are stars in their own right, just not perceived on the same level as the others. Coaching/system/ability to defend aforementioned stars can help you win against their teams in today's NBA and the notion shouldn't be dismissed rather easily.

Stars do win in the playoffs.

The only team you can argue ever really won without "stars" was the 2004 Pistons, and that team was absolutely loaded; it just lacked a superstar. Coaching means very, very little in the playoffs. If it did, the Spurs would win the title every year.

As for Oladipo, he is absolutely a legitimate star. The dude is arguably better than the Paul George that the Pacers traded for him. And as for OKC? They are a different animal. They do have stars, but their "Big Three" was a nightmarish fit from the beginning. Three ball-dominant perimeter players is not exactly a recipe for success.

I'm not denying that having a good system matters, but having stars is what will ultimately get the job done.

I can't speak for everyone else, but this is most certainly NOT the case for me.

Again, I hate Philly because I hate Philly. I hate the Eagles more than any other team in sports. I despise the Phillies. I hate any team associated with Philadelphia.

I also said this earlier: I actually hated the 2012 76ers that we beat in the playoffs more than I hate this current iteration of the Sixers.

I don't care how great, good, mediocre or bad the Philadelphia 76ers are: I will always hate them.

For us oldtimers, Philly is an arch-rival exceeded only by L.A.-- with peaks of intensity in the mid-late '60s and early-mid '80s. There's a reason Tommy still gets booed in Philly. It would actually be pretty cool to see that rivalry renewed as it looks like it will be.

What I'm arguing against is when people automatically assume that a team with stars would win against a team without one in a 7-game series. No qualifications. I've seen/heard it far too many times. Even in these playoffs, Cavs, Bucks, and OKC are all favored to win by most just because they have the big names.

Now do I believe having stars on a team increases your chances to win a title exponentially? Yep. That's why I'm still not over losing Hayward and Irving to injuries. But there are other factors in play other than just having a Greek Freak or a Russell Westbrook leading your team.

I can't speak for gocelts but I think he lives in the PA area like me, and although I want us to beat the Bucks and I hate the Heat more than any team outside of the Lakers, some small part of me is dreading potentially playing Philly.

People give you the **** business about sports in this town. I'm not really looking forward to everyone I know making fun of me for weeks if we lose. The Superbowl was bad enough.

Truth is right...I'm biased because I'm from the Philly area....most the fans are asses and I just don't want to deal with it....but I also do think Milwaukee will put up a nice series against them.

Spurs deserved a win at least. Blowout in Game 5 though tbh.
