I feel bad for Westbrook. Sam Presti finally got him supporting All-Stars so that they could get out of the first round without KD and instead these guys play like garbage in an elimination game. Meanwhile Westbrook is busy trying to string together home runs in order to keep his team in the game because his "All-Star" teammates put up an incredible disappearing act. And when you point this out to other people they just say, LOL he finally got his precious help, what's his excuse? Not realizing that PG0 and MeLo combined for 12 points which is the reason why Westbrook ended up taking matters into his own hands.

Seriously, this thread has been extremely toxic in the last few pages. I realize that a lot of people don't like Westbrook but the amount of trolling that has been going on after the game ended is just unreal. You guys are just rubbing salt in OKC's fans wounds just for the lulz.

Gobert tried to avoid the contact as George tried to jump into him and the result was very little contact at all.

check the legs/footwork at very least. would have made contact affecting the shot... he bit on the pump and should have been penalized

Just because he bit on the pump fake doesn't mean he committed a foul. PG tried to initiate contact and Gobert appears to have done a good job of avoiding it.

Watch his trailing leg. That was a foul, there was no way for George to go into a shooting motion because Gobert's body was moving through his space, regardless of if he stepped forward or not.

As a Jazz fan I can't justify that non call. Argue semantics all you want but at the end of the day, they call that a foul 99/100 times.

All you can ask from refs is consistency. Some calls that are not right are tolerated because they are at least consistently wrong, ie tolerating 4-5 steps on a fast break, or weak double-T's to calm guys down.

As another poster mentioned, don't wait till the dying moments of a playoff close out game to start enforcing that lean-in rule.

Anyways I'd like to think the Jazz would have closed it out regardless of that. Not the prettiest series but fascinating to watch 2 very different squads go at each other. Hope OKC figure themselves out, ballhog or not Russ is unstoppable at times, love his passion and guts.

If you've seen the way this thread has evolved, it makes sense why that happened. A lot of pages ago (after the PG no call) that same poster said that he was going to jump off a bridge. It was obvious to everyone who saw that message that he was distraught over the way that his team lost.

How did the thread continue? Trolls came out of the woodwork and started blaming it all on OKC's best player who gave it his all tonight. It's not hard to imagine that it'd turn out like this.

Again, we could have won the Finals if certain calls were made. But I ain’t mad because I know my boys cheated and elbowed like gangsters. Jordan was better at cheating than us the same as he was better at everything. I’m not mad about the way those finals worked out it was super fun to watch in real time. I’ll always be proud of that team.

I think this Jazz team is the best since then. Better than the Deron teams, better than last year’s team. This team is special. Probably not LOB special but this team is more fun to watch than Karl was. Love you Karl, sorry. This team is way more fun.

Basically, if you move through space that a shooter is 'entitled to' and make contact it's a foul. Rudy makes contact on the hip, but his leg is also in a position that would prevent George from landing regardless of if he had stepped forward or not.

Thanks for saying this, but OKC fans have developed immunity to the Westbrook salt, so this thread is par for the course. We know what Westbrook is, we know his strengths and weaknesses. No surprises from usual suspects.
