I feel a hell of a lot more confident now after seeing that Philly defense.

Yeah I was so let down by Simmons, I thought we were preparing ourselves for Magic/Lebron hybrid there!

He'll bounce back, don't worry. He is the best player in this series and is going to be for next 10 years. Prepare yourself. :D

Why would we eat crow? We’re the underdogs in this series and should lose if Philly are who their fans think they are.

And forgive us for getting excited. We’re missing 3 of our starters. We really have no business even being 1-0.
I understand, my comments weren't directed towards every Celtic fan. But at the same time rozier and Tatum are playing at a level they wouldn't be sniffing if Hayward/Irving were here. That's not to say what the celtics are doing isnt amazing, but you guys were the 3rd seed without Hayward all season and kyrie for a big portion. So I would say that you guys should win at home, and game 2 will be the test. Need to protect home court.

This is hindsight. At the time, Fultz was almost a unanimous first pick, (yes, yes, I know, smartest man ever Danny Ainge always knew that Tatum would be the second coming and was always going to pick him no matter what), the point is that every ranking at the time had Fultz as #1.

Of course, it looks bad now since Fultz got a case of the ultra-yips.

Celtics wouldn't have made the trade in the first place if Colangelo was planning on picking Tatum. Ainge wanted Tatum all along but knew there was a GM dumb enough to trade down with him while getting an extra pick out of it.

Pretty crazy that the C's managed to beat the greatest team ever assembled.

You know how stupid this Simmons hype is? People not just Sixers fans here were saying he’s way better than Kyrie Irving. The disrespect. Kyrie has you on your heels every play and outdueled one of the best player of all time at his peak and averaged 30 ppg twice in the finals. He’s one of the best players come playoff time. Don’t slander his name like that until proven otherwise. Simmons is a rookie so he has time but no way is he better right now.

Simmons has not played particularly well in any of his five games against Boston. C’s came in with a plan and, at least tonight, Philly didn’t really have an effective answer.

I was shocked to see late in the game Simmons ballwatch while Rozier grabbed a board right in front of him, then chased him down only half the floor before giving up the layup instead of trying to chase him down for the block. Same kind of worrying stuff I saw at LSU that didn’t show up so much this season.

Curious to see how he responds. Celtics will give Embiid all the contested twos he can handle as long as Simmons isn’t dominating the floor.

The point is, that no matter what, the 76ers never have Tatum instead of "Bustz" as you originally wrote. Cs just pick him #1.

Hello Brooklyn wrote:To be fair to Philly though, they rely a lot on their shooters and shot 19% from 3 today.

A lot of those 3s were wide open. I don't think that will happen again.

Also don't think the Celtics can keep shooting 47% from 3.

Celtics have been great all year, no matter who played. They are money in the last 2 minutes and never give up. Sixers' fans are crazy if they thought this would be easy.

Fultz is a huge bust, zero pride. He is the#1 pick SMH, how can he watch Simmons Tatum out there, and think "This is totally fine. I totally don't look like a scrub laughing it up while my peers are contributing"

Saric, Illaysova, Belinelli, and Covington were 1-13 from 3.
