this team is a sinking ship right now...

Conforto not hitting is a problem. At least he's getting on base. I believe both he and Bruce will hit. Bruce is a notoriously streaky hitter. Too many holes in the lineup right now. Catcher, pitcher, Forto, Bruce, Gonzalez and Rosario.

i bet your response was the same, it's not the hype you don't see ... you just don't see yourself being patient.

i'll give you one better, reyes' breakout 2006 season ... on june 11th he was hitting .240.

i bet you said the same garbage of "i don't see the hype"

I was 13 and Reyes was my favorite player actually. In a way there are similarities between the two, but pitching is a lot different in 2018 then it was 12 years ago. Way more advanced scouting and analytics. Rosario has zero plate recognition and the entire league knows that.

lol you can't say pitching has changed without giving out any examples, but i wouldn't either because a 95 mph fastball today was a 95 mph fastball 12 years ago, and it was a 95 mph fastball 100+ years ago.

so please explain how has pitching changed.

Less about the actual pitches and more about scouting, gameplanning, shifted defenses. Rosario’s predictable.

what you just said has nothing to do with pitching.

pitching is always the same, you just have no idea what you're talking about right now.

Ok talk to me when Rosario doesn’t have a walk rate in the 2s.

much like reyes 2005 season?

when he was the same age as rosario, 22?

javier baez from the cubs still doesn’t draw any walks, yet is a good player ... or maybe pitching is different? lol

don’t be mad you tried to sound like you know, when you don’t.

Really need to shake things up... We already missed too many post-season appearances with DeGrom and Thor on cheap deals.

Trade for Colon, imo. Even if one of Wheeler, Harvey, Matz, or Vargas bounces back, it isn't enough. Citi Field is his park.

Give Vargas one more start. I don't think he has it though. Then give Lugo a starting role. You have to keep riding with Matz and Wheeler, imo, and just hope they give us QSs.

Send Harvey to AAA for the rest of May. He is going to have to change his whole pitching style. He isn't a power pitcher anymore. It's a shame. When he was on top of his game, he's the guy you'd want on the mound in Game 1, even over Thor or DeGrom. He just had that eliteness and confidence.

And the catcher position.... that one can't be fixed in house. But I don't know who they have to offer with their depleted farm.

Re Harvey, throwing between 92-94 mph is fast enough. It's his feel for pitching. He's lost that. Maybe he can work through it but it's going to have to be down in AAA.

Nimmo definitely needs to play everyday.

DFA Gonzalez. Move Bruce to 1B. Move Nimmo to the OF. Forto looks comfortable in CF so maybe Brandon plays RF? He's a team first player and I'm sure he'd handle RF just fine. I just don't know if Forto has played RF. Whichever. But Nimmo has to play and bat leadoff.

harvey's met run is over, crazy how he was on top of the world and then buried underneath it.

it doesn't hurt as bad because i always felt harvey/boras were going to go where the money is, in fact i was convinced he was going to be a yankee since he grew up rooting for them.
