Micky has failed Matt Harvey. Let's see how he does with Wheeler and Matz.

Harvey being a Yankee fan, I think he goes with them. And he will have more patience and encouragement with them. I see him working through the minors with them.

I feel with the Mets, he had a sense of entitlement to always be "a starting pitcher". Being the Dark Knight, going over that inning limit, a fan favorite. Pitching relief or going to AAA in this organization was a slap in the face.

It is an end of an era. He was supposed to be the ace of aces. I wish he got the Game 5. One of the best PO appearances I've witnessed.

Matt has to go down to AAA and relearn how to pitch.

Harvey was just designated for assignment thus ending his career with the New York Mets.

It's sad how Harvey's career played out for us, but at the end of the day it's done. I do think we'll be able to trade him, but we won't get back anything noteworthy. Perhaps a PTBNL who's a reliever.

4 ace level prospects. And only one can pitch at the mlb level. Not counting DeGrom since he was a pleasant surprise

Jake with the least hype will be the best of the Mets fab 5

Thank god for DeGrom. This guy was just supposed to be like a 4 starter.

Matz and Wheeler never showed ace qualities imo. Matz didn't had a SO pitch and Wheeler had command issues. They were supposed to be 2-3 guys though.

Wheeler should ditch his silder. It looks more like a bad cutter. His curveball isn't bad. I think he should utilize that more.

His stuff isn't bad. His decisions just suck. Too many 0-2 hits when he should have tried to make them chase.

Where's Reub? I want to hear more about Mickey Calloway's love mojo?

There's a manager in Philadelphia who wrote an article for men in support of suntanning your testicles who is having more success with less talent than our pitching gurus.

Wheeler sucks. Period. End of story. When has Wheeler ever been good? The answer? Never. I'm tired of his inability to control the strike zone. What % of his starts is he over 100 pitches before the end of the 6th inning? Or even the 5th inning? I'm tired of these bozos who can't throw strikes. Maybe Wheeler should spend more time in AAA.

You only need three if you have a fastball (or two, 2-seam and 4-seam), a curveball and a change up. But you have to command them.

I had a dark feeling that this team wasn't that good. Guess the new coach/manager effect is definitely real. They are dropping hard now. Not all too surprised.

Whats worse, Generation K or Generation K 2.0?

First time around we gave baseball the blueprint on how not to use your young pitchers, all of them fizzled as starters and only Izzy made a career for himself really. 2.0 at least got to a World Series, but it's looking like that was just a magical year. It wouldn't even surprise me if we entertain offers for DeGrom at the deadline instead of paying him. Just a sad sad organization.
