He's 20. He might suck. He might not. I believe Barkley has questionable yards after contact stats. Every prospect has flaws. Every successful player has flaws.

You aren't really saying anything all that special.

Exactly so why has every Jets fan been acting like we said he was worse than Josh Allen?

Jet fans haven’t been acting like anything other than responding to obvious trolling.

Giants waived RB Terrell Watson.

New York also waived P Austin Rehkow, S Ryan Murphy, WR Canaan Severin, and OG Damien Mama. Watson has earned some spot work with the Eagles and Steelers the last two seasons, but he has struggled to stick on a roster.

At this point, it just sounds like you are worried if he ends uo being a franchise QB to be honest.

It's hard becoming a franchise QB. Dont worry.

The hell? If anything I want y'all to win. I'm an Eagles fan IDGAF about the Jets outside of wanting to see them beat the Pats twice a year.

One day, and one day soon if Giants GM Dave Gettleman is right, Eli Manning will be gushing about Saquon Barkley the way Trace McSorley was gushing about him over the phone.

“You got guys like Barry Sanders, a guy like Bo Jackson, I think Saquon’s physical abilities are right along those lines,” McSorley told The Post. “But then you add it to his work ethic and kinda his drive, where he wants to be, where he sees himself — I definitely think that he can work to become one of the best running backs in NFL history and obviously a gold-jacket type guy with the combination of those two things.”

OT Nate Solder hurts knee 'a little bit' after Giants minicamp scuffle

OT Nate Solder hurts knee 'a little bit' after Giants minicamp scuffle
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The final practice of New York Giants minicamp this spring involved a scuffle that saw defensive tackle Damon Harrison swing guard Will Hernandez's helmet at the rookie's head. Fortunately, it missed.

Hernandez was not injured during the melee, but prized free-agent acquisition, left tackle Nate Solder, walked away limping after his leg was rolled up on by a teammate. He was checked by a trainer on the field. He stayed until practice ended before limping off the field.

Solder said his knee "hurt a little bit" afterward. He was hopeful it was OK. Coach Pat Shurmur said he received an update on the field that Solder was "fine."

If Sam Darnold isn’t under center on Sept. 10 in Detroit, it won’t be the Jets holding him back. They’re giving the prized first-round draft pick every opportunity to win the job.

And he has yet to disappoint them.

Jeremy Bates, the team’s new offensive coordinator tasked with developing Darnold, made that clear on Wednesday before the second practice of the team’s mandatory minicamp, saying the highly hyped signal-caller “hasn’t flinched.”

“We’re throwing everything at him,” Bates said, in his first public comments since being elevated to his current position with the Jets. “If he can handle it, if he can prove that he’s the starter, then that will take place when the time comes.

Sam Darnold did not report for training camp with the Jets' other rookies on Tuesday.

Darnold's deal still isn't done, and he's not signing a waiver to get out there as the final details are hammered out. It's not ideal, but Darnold should put pen to paper in the very near future. He's not going to miss a meaningful amount of time.

ESPN's Rich Cimini writes the Jets' quarterback competition is Sam Darnold's to win.

Darnold has yet to sign his rookie deal and report to camp, but that should be taken care of in the next couple days. Once he is there, Darnold should be given every opportunity to win the Week 1 job. It would be a small surprise if he is not under center when the season starts

ESPN's Rich Cimini writes the Jets are open to trading Teddy Bridgewater.

Bridgewater reportedly looked good during the offseason program, but the Jets will have little use for him if Sam Darnold wins the starting job in camp. It is not clear how much of a market there is for the former first-rounder, but he could help his value with a strong preseason. Several teams including the division-rival Dolphins could use an upgrade to their backup situation.

Sam Darnold received some first-team reps after reporting to training camp on Monday.

Darnold was third up in the rotation after Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater, but it is notable nonetheless. The Jets are not going to punish the future of the franchise for being a few days tardy to camp. The Jets' quarterback situation seems genuinely uncertain, but it is never a surprise when a top-three quarterback is a Week 1 starter

Man I cannot wait for the Giants. So many weapons and improvement on the O line. Still a little worried bout defense.
