Prior to KP’s injury, Ainge would’ve given up Brown or Tatum and Rozier, maybe big maybe
Post injury, there’s no chance in hell Ainge trades any of them for KP.

Seems like people forget that an ACL injury for an athlete is usually a career killer, and for a professional athlete in basketball, it definitely is.

He would probably still trade Tatum and/or rozier. Because KP is exactly what he needs in his frontcourt besides Hayward, and Irving to be a legit championship team. A lot of the names you mentioned overlap on the roster and their frontcourt is their biggest weakness.

The celts say no rather quickly. In fact, they wouldn't trade just Tatum alone for KP at this point. Come on you really think Ainge is going to throw in brown and rozier as well? You should propose that on the trade board.

Who do we like for the MLE if Kanter opts in?

KOQ signing 1 year for the MLE would be perfect imo.

What kind of incentive would we need from Cleveland to make a Jordan Clarkson for Courtney Lee swap? Is moving up 1 draft spot enough?

Zero chance Ainge deal Tatum after doing this kind of work late in the season as a rookie.....zero.

I wonder if we have a shot at Montrezl Harrell with the MLE. Great rim runner and a complement to KP with his Interiör defense and ability to switch. We could really use an athletic bruising 4/5 type in this roster.

I like Montrezl a lot and would love to have him. Not a great rebounder, but he's lethal around the rim.

I would be surprised if we went after him though. I think we may bring back KOQ instead.

You could be right. Harrell serves a different function though - more of a lob target and a runner.
Ideally we could run a lineup of:

C: KOQ / Harrell
PF: KP / Harrell
SF: Lottery pick / Lance / 2nd round pick
SG: Hardaway / Dotson / Baker
PG: Frank / Burke / Mudiay

At the very least it would be a young exciting team that could compete on defense.

I would def have him on my list. I love the energy Harrell brings. It probably depends if Kanter opts out and how much Harrell costs.

He is restricted, so I think the Clippers would match or we would have to give a really nice offer. Hard to say but he may cost more then I would pay. MLE might be worth it and worth a shot.

Not technically true. If the Lakers move to top 3, then it becomes Boston's pick.
