He's.... fine? I'm not exactly champing at the bit for free agency so the Suns can sign... Derrick Favors...
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Some reason this video showed up in my Youtube feed. Found the beginning pretty funny.

Marcus Smart is AMAZING defender and energy guy... he is an X-factor for sure.

Wonder if McD would make a move for him

What does everyone think about Zach Lavine? Would you be comfortable enough to give him a 4 year $80 million deal? That should be enough for the Bulls to not match, a bit of an overpay, but I like the fit with Booker, Jackson, Bender, and Ayton. We'd have that free flowing kind of offense IMO, with everyone being able to hit the three (minus Jackson). Lavine/Ayton PnR would be devastating with Bender and Booker on the three point line. Obviously Booker/Ayton would be the same IMO, however Lavine/Ayton is more athletic. Defensively, I'd be worried, however we'd have the length in our starting five.

Watching him relentlessly attack the basket, I could see Jackson cutting backdoor for a slam. He has the ability to shoot threes off the dribble, which is rare IMO. His stats are deflated this season because he was coming back from an injury, however I could see him getting back to shooting 46% overall with our roster. Could see Booker/Lavine combining for 8-10 threes made a game.

Suns should pass on handing out any long term deals. The plan should be build around Booker; JJ, #1 pick, overpay vets for 1-2 year deals(think JJ Reddick type contracts), and to maintain cap flexibility 2-3 years from now when Booker and JJ presumably receive max contracts.

I don't care for his attitude. Playing wise, I don't know much about him though.

I'd love him here but he'd be another non-shooter. We really need a strong 3pt shooter on the floor.
I think making a play for Rozier would be worth a look at the very least. Dunno if Boston will move him and if they do, what they'll demand.

I wonder what the price would be for Memphis's pick now that they dropped to #4. Would you do Warren and #16 for Parsons and #4?

Parsons is dead weight and a huge cap hit for two more years, but we'd be building around a core of Young/Booker/Jackson/Bender/Ayton or Doncic/Booker/Jackson/Bender/JJJ or Doncic/Booker/Jackson/Bender/Carter or Doncic/Booker/Jackson/Porter/Bender, so we could just continue to develop mostly organically and then strike in free agency or trade later on. And we'd still be better next year than we were this year.

I don't know if Memphis does it though. That's a big drop in the draft and I'd also have to check if that even frees up enough cap space for them to do anything with.

I would not be surprised if McDoubleDown makes a hard attempt to move up in this draft for Young.

He nets both Ayton and Young then goes max to Gordon

Young/Booker/Jackson/Gordon/Ayton

????

Could you get behind that group?

May be the FA play is Capela and moving Ayton to PF part time ???

My pure speculation wild offseason prediction. Suns draft Ayton and swing a draft day trade for John Wall. They send 16 plus another 1st rounder plus expiring contracts for that huge Wall contract.

Would prefer Kyle Lowry or really any PG that can shoot.

Wall would be the window crack for Boogie

Talent wise huge plus
Boy, but that salary. It’s a splashy gutsy move that doesn’t guarantee a playoff spot though. Would we have enough room and training staff confidence for a 1-2 yr deal for DMC ... Achilles and all ?

I like Bradley for you if you go with Doncic and him and Booker as the main ballhandlers.
On a good contract off course.

Yeah I agree on the shooting piece. Wall wouldn't be my first choice I just have a gut feeling hes the 'star' they end up trading for this summer.

Rozier for the right price would be beastly. But of course Ainge will try to fleece whoever he's dealing with, so might as well not even make the call

Pass on that horrendous contract. Wall just came off an injury and doesn't care about basketball.
