Don’t understand his decision. Does another year bump his stock significantly higher to outweigh the risk of being hurt? Heck, look what just happened to his brother.
Next year's class isn't nearly as heavy with elite bigs. I don't think it was a good choice by him, but if he performs well and improves his body he should be a top ten pick.
I think Nazreon Reid will end up being the best big next year. He kind of reminds me of Marc Gasol. But you're right it's not a big heavy class at the top next year so Porter should look like a lotto pick as long as he plays well.

Yeah. Wonder if it has something to do with Reid Travis. At a certain point, the talent churn at Kentucky puts pressure on guys like Gabriel who might not see themselves getting much of an opportunity to improve their stock and might feel like they just want to get on with climbing the G League ladder.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
Kevin Huerter does nothing for me as a first round prospect. Was intrigued by the clips of the release and range but he's more Jason Kapono/James Jones than an actual NBA player to me.

white man comp....
Kevin Huerter = JJ Redick-lite.
I'd be okay with that at 17.

I'd take Huerter in round 2. Creighton kid in round 1.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Then cross him off the list!

Huerter's high school basketball team made his silhouette their logo.
That's got to be worth something.

Mike Miller.
Solid athleticism. Great shooter. Bit of an in between game. Smart defender. Good passer.
