Don't need to watch. He was not a starter at DAYTON. He averaged 15 minutes per game at DAYTON. He averaged 5 ppg at DAYTON. This was not NCAA qualifier DAYTON. It was 14-17 DAYTON.

For sure Kostas is worth a 2nd rounder just on potential alone ', remember where Giannis was coming from before he made the leap? I'm not too worried about having siblings on the team so long as they're not knuckleheads like the Morris brothers, I think that conflict of interest is overblown when we're talking high character guys. Question to me is if he's the best pick where ever that may be, if we buy into the second round then who cares? If the Bucks draft Kostas then they'll be the ones who have seen him the most up close and personal. Keeping Giannis happy should be a top priority just like it is in Cleveland with Lebron.

The Thon comparison actually seems pretty apt with one big difference - Kostas seems to have much better hands for the ball. Seems to have pretty decent length and he's good at positioning himself at the basket off the drive, but he doesn't seem to be as limber moving with the ball as Giannis. Now, obviously, that doesn't mean he couldn't turn into an NBA player some time, but from those highlights, I'm not sure he provides enough spacing on the floor to play a forward position, but doesn't seem sturdy enough in the post to play center to be worth investing a draft pick in. If he goes undrafted and you can grab him for nothing? Sure, cut Bazz or something for him. But I'm not super bullish on his NBA prospects enough to use a draft pick (certainly never #17) on him.

I see lots of similarities. Just watching him move is weird, because he moves just like his brother. Those big blocks, dunks, fadeaways, the ball handling all reminiscent of Giannis. My main concerns with him are his motivation/work ethic and his measurements not being as Freakish as Giannis. That said though, he's still got great length and if he's working out with his super-duper-star brother everyday, I'm guessing that motivation won't be an issue here.

Giannis seems to understand this is a business as well. If Kostas ends up not working out here, I really don't think that will motivate Giannis to leave. If we're still not making Conference/NBA Finals appearances by then, then yeah, he's gone--but that is the case with or without Kostas. If Kostas DOES work out, then you have Antetokounmbros wreaking havoc in Bud's defense and on the fastbreak.

17 is way too high for him though, given his rawness, but buying a 2nd to take him I would be pretty excited about.

I agree with everything above, especially the bold part. Giannis isn't going to throw a hissy fit because we didn't play his brother or give him a long-term deal. He's better than that.

There are other guys who we could buy picks for who are far better players and who could never in a million years do 80% of the things Kostas does in that highlight reel. There is long term potential here in a way that does not exist for Gary Clark, who I am nuts about.

I have no idea if he gets picked or not -- just saying that if he does, I get it in spite of failing to play consistently at Dayton.

I would say no, but his rebounding... 18.4 per 40 minutes... that's freakish for a forward. And he probably only rarely got to practice with the team due to injury. He had the rep of being able to be sortofa point forward and never really got the chance to show it. He's a guy who might not even get drafted, or... someone might take him as high as late 1st. It depends on his workouts and interviews, imo.

I'd like to hear from some people who actually watched Dayton games. I probably jumped the gun with saying he's not a nba prospect.

Mixtapes are fun, but they do nothing for me. Thon looks like the 2nd coming everytime.

Ok, I leaning towards us picking K.Bates Diop with our pick. Why? I like guys who can score 20 a game and rebound too.We have NO bench at the 3 or 4 spot. Also this guy could be very valuable when Giannis plays the five.What do you think of that?

Honestly... I'd have no problem with that. He fits the modern day PF, and he can play some 3. 7'3 wingspan, 235 lbs, can hit the 3, runs the court, plays D. He would not be an exciting pick, but he's a solid 2-way player. Would I take him over Zaire Smith? No - even though Smith doesn't check the boxes for Milwaukee's needs, I think he's a future all-star, so I gotta take him if he's there.

The 2nd round is so speculative, I find it hard to believe he won't get drafted.
