There's a lot of interesting guys in the first round this year. most of them have pretty big flaws/questions, but I think there could be a ton of good role players coming out of this draft.

I get that Okogie is long and athletic, but he's also a poor passing TO machine. Reminds me of Ben McLemore?

Wagner

I only saw one college game in March and he was by far the best player. And we need more European fans from different countries on this board. Bring in some Austrians!

That's where I'm at as well, and I'm okay with it. In fact, I still really want another mid to late 1st to take two of these guys to kind of supplement each other's weak points. Take a great shooter like Huerter/Donte and a great defender/rebounder like Vanderbilt/Jackson.

I think he's going to be great defending PG's, I watched him vs Villanova defending Jalen Brunson. Forced a ton of tough shots and locked him down in OT. You have him play off the ball offensively and put him on the best guard defensively, maybe even 3's.

Going up against Brunson is like the worst example if you want to tell how he'll do versus NBA PG's.

Sorry, I went with the PG that won player of the year and who I think is going to be a really solid PG. Is Shamorie Ponds a quick enough scoring guard for you? Khyri Thomas defended him well too.

I mean Ponds is small but not overly quick. Borderline NBA player at best imo.

What I'm talking about is that I don't think Thomas has the ability to guard most starting calibre PG's full time. He's going to be able to guard some of them and he's going to be able to bother some SF's and even PF's but he's also going to get burned by a lot of players that have the ability to play to the missmatch. The only position I think he can defend full time as a starter is SG as there aren't many players in the league anymore who'll take him one on one and shoot over him like DD or Khris. One could argue that he's a 3 or 4 position defender but you could make the same argument that he's only a 1 position defender. Imo he's a nice option to have on the bench but he's also a guy who might not get on the floor in certain matchups in the POs.

UCLA
Age: 21.6
PG

Height: 6-foot-1 | Weight: 187

With Eric Bledsoe approaching the final year of his contract, the Bucks could look to find a point guard who complements their existing pieces and whom they can build around for the long term.

Holiday had an outstanding junior season, and he would bring a number of attractive traits with his microwave scoring ability, long wingspan and toughness. The fact that he can space the floor and play off the ball is important, considering the building blocks the Bucks have in place.

Why is Holiday not on the poll

Cause he's not that great of a choice? He's a scoring SG that is undersized for the PG position.

For me it's Z. Smith, followed by Double D (still haven't memorized the spelling of this last name, tho I know it's incorrect in the poll).

Still think JJJ is the main prize of the draft. If you watch the POs centers that can't switch or hit the 3 don't get on the floor in crunch time. JJJ can do both and is an elite rim protector. He's basicly Capela with a jumper and better perimeter skills. I get why teams with no true star would be reluctant to pick him as he doesn't project to be a #1 option but he's going to be the best player in the draft imo.

Take K. Thomas, jet can't play till he's 50 can he? Would like Holiday & Diop on the list. All 3 are Juniors and should be able to play right away. I don't have 3 years to wait for a young freshman to develop his game. We need gamers now.

Zhaire Smith looks small to me
He plays bigger in college but will not be able to do that in the NBA.
I don't think he's a guard and I don't think he has a position.

I think he's more likely to go at the end of the 1st or in the 2nd, but I'll exchange him after a couple days if someone else only has a few votes.

Agreed. if only for the fact Robinson is a classic Bucks swing for the fences type gamble. And, then there's just the fact you have to consider him at 17.

Still liking Okogie unless trading up for Carter is somehow possible. Just not loving DD he had a good march but not seeing a high ceiling. Would love to somehow package one of Bledsoe/Parker/Thon with our pick to grab Carter. Those Horford comps make me hard.
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.
