KP playing the 4 is not why we were not a good defense. Jack/hardaway are not defenders you defense is already screwed in the backcourt that puts extra pressure on your front court to pickup your defensive lapses
Kanter is not a defender either that puts additional pressure on your help defender in porzingis to not only concentrate on whats happening on the perimeter but now he has to try and cheat off his man in order to save face at the rim.
It's not even just the defense for me, I want them to play A LOT faster. I'm sick of this team being slow and always playing in the half court while teams just kill us in transition with quickness and versatility. I want some horses that can get up and down the floor with the best of them, I don't see how having two centers makes us more dynamic on offense. The only big that I really see being able to provide that type of versatility for us would be Marvin Bagley
That would mean KP would have to tremendously improve his rebounding you cant get out and run and play smaller ball if you your center cant rebound. and i continue to question his ability to rebound once he returns from this ACL because he was a trash rebounder for a guy his size to begin with.

This reminds me A LOT of the year, the Knicks could not move up to get Steph Curry. They had EVERY reason to bet it all to get Curry and they stood pat and got Jordan Hill.
THAT'S the Knicks. Complacent.
New York is trying to rebuild NOW. This is not something that you luck into. The Knicks have 2 very good to greatness in Frank Nicotine and KP...you BETTER go all out and get the 3rd piece because despite what every one talks "patience" there is every reason to believe the Knicks WANT to make the playoffs.

if he aint got handle i dont want to hear nothing about knox, miles, or mikal having handle because that looks alot more fluid than any of those guys with the ball

Would you say that JR Smith can't shoot or that he has poor shot selection?
I would say JR can shoot 1 out of every 5 games. When he's on he's on, unfortunately he's very inconsistent. Have you ever seen Lonnie get on a JR like shooting game? You must have since that's who you're using as kind of a comparison. He's a better 3 point shooter then 2 point shooter when he is on.
JR is a 40% 3pt shooter when on spot ups and when he's reasonably open. If he dribbles 3+ times, he's a 30% shooter. The results are consistent. What is inconsistent is his decision making.
Same with Lonnie. When he tries to create his own shot, the results are disastrous. When he shoots in rhythm as part of the offense with spot ups and such, he's almost lights out.
That's decision making.

This draft is every thing for the new Front Office. If they bring a "pretty good" guy that doesn't turn the Knicks into playoff contender but even worse, they are just good enough to miss the playoffs.
There is no tomorrow.
