I question if he really does fit a need for Chicago. In today's NBA, Porter is may be more of a stretch 4 than a 3, and they've already got Lauri at the 4

Tho I really want the Bulls to go Porter at 7 b/c it makes Carter falling to 9 more likely

He's a SF in that he can shoot and drive. He's just really tall and probably wont be asked to focus much on defending regardless of where he gets put due to his back

Knox's TS was 56% last year and didnt rebound well either. He's not someone you take at 9. Young, Bridges are guys who would come on and start immediately. The team needs talent.

I don't know about that. They both block shots at the same rate. .

I just dont think Young is really an upgrade over what we already have at guard. IMO he's too much of a defensive liability, and in a league thats PG dominated, I want Frank to be our PG of the future b/c he can lock down the opposing PG, the offense will develop over time

Don't get this love for Knox all of a sudden. I want a winner and a defensive player to join Frank/KP.

Not mad at that prediction i think he is better than both offensively and can be just as good defensively. i just dont know if he's a PF or SF in the NBA. his body and the way he plays screams power foward but maybe kind of small for the power forward position.

He’s underrated creating off the dribble.

I think the discussions around Miles tend to focus on his athleticism, when it's his smarts that are the most impressive part of his game.

Dont forget the near perfect shooting mechanics he developed this year.

With Trae Young the hope is that he is a Steph Curry/ Damien Lillard type of offensive player at which defense doesn't matter as much. I think whether he becomes is more Steph curry or more Jimmer is very dependent on whatever organization and coach he goes to.

I keep saying that there is no way Wendell Carter gets past Cleveland. If he is there, Cavs take him. We shall see on Thursday night.

still favoring Knox, wouldn't be upset about Mikal or Trae, Really would not be excited at all about Miles, Sexton, Carter, Walker. Porter isn't happening.

As it stands, the problem(s) with the Knicks is the fact, they currently do NOT create any mismatches except for their most valuable player who is currently on the DL. Their most valuable acquisition, Tim Hardaway Jr, often destroyed on defense at SF, only played five more games than the guy who blew his ACL. Frank Nitilikina is at least one more season from blossoming into starting talent.

Hence, the Knicks really DO need the best player in the draft.

If the Knicks don't move up, they're most likely going to draft another Channing Frye or Jordan Hill. Someone serviceable but doesn't have the Je ne sais quois to BE a vital cog. Something we've seen over and over and over again.

I've gone back and forth on this many times...and I think Mo Bamba would be the biggest game changer for the Knicks. While I question his jumper in a game situation on the NBA level, he would create havoc if he can get that medium range jumper...something the Knicks have not had since Patrick Ewing.

I would think long and hard about swapping 9 for the Suns 16 if they would take on both Lee and Hardaways contracts. Something like the below.

Hardaway
Lee
9

Chandler
Dudley
Alvin Williams
Chriss
16

That could actually work for both sides. I know Suns take on a ton of salary but they obviously really like someone in the late lottery. I think dumping all that money is worth dropping 7 spots. Doubt we could add Chris too (and i hate him) but I’d go for it.

Why so they could sign absolutely nobody? No you take the best player available and develop them.

Whoever it is better be a really strong rebounder. I hope we draft Jarred Vanderbilt at 36.

Isn’t he a good defender too?

Yup. A good facilitator too. But a great rebounder.
