Man, Mikal's floor as a 3&D guy who knows how to move without the ball...makes it hard to pass up for Knox. I don't ever see him becoming that level of defender, and I don't see the fire of a 1A guy.

Knox is 6'9. Thats plenty tall enough to be a 4 in todays NBA

I think the vid is the pro day. The one he was shaky in.

Still looks like he’s getting comfortable in his body.
Might still be growing too.

That is pretty much knox floor right now and he is 18. He is not as groomed as mikal but mikal is coming out a junior.
Knox is still a freshman.

My “ugh do not” want Guy is Sexton. And he’s a bull.
I like all these guys lol. Wendell to me has a higher ceiling that the guy he’s most compared to in Horford.
Mikal has an exciting floor if that’s possible.
Knox like the pick of KP would suggest a long view and that would be encouraging. MPJ might be a scoring champ one day. This is a good draft. My thing is how Pills maximizes the spot and the moment. Can we fleece a desperate team somehow for once? Can we catch somebody blinking and take advantage?
Gonna be exciting.

I don't believe that. His floor is who he is today and defense is not that easy to learn. If it was a guarantee that Knox could learn to play that sort of defense, then yes, it'd be an easier choice. You're talking about ceiling, I think.

With Knox its what you dont see as opposed to what you see. Im all for rollign the dice on potential provided the player shows exceptoional ability somehwere.

Way back when we had the #9 pick I remember wanting us to pick Amare . Why? That freaky athleticism. He was raw as hell but there was something to latch onto. What does Knox have to latch on to? Being 6"9" with "ok" athleticism is not enough for me. Especially for a guy who displays little to no "dog" in his game. I dont see an exceptional BBall IQ, handle, defense...but yeah he's 6'9" and 18... :noway: its completely possible Im wrong about the kid ...if we pick him I hope to be...but from what Ive seen its a hard pass.

I like Zeke’s comp for Luka. A smaller Turkoglu.
More dynamic because the game has changed but I see it.

Kevin Knox isnt super athletic? I think Knox has pretty solid defensive potiental. PG had the same critics pre draft about his motor defensivly. Knox is long, and has a perfect NBA body, I think he can be great defensivly. Maybe not the play making part. Remember PG was drafted 10th OV, some mock drafts had him anywhere from 8-16

No, Knox is not super athletic
More smooth than athletic. His floater will translate immediately in the nba. That thing is beautiful. He has amazing touch

If they believe that Fiz can channel Knox's inner dog and get him to have a killer instinct with improved effort on the defensive side of the ball, I am all for it.

He's not my top choice, but I wouldn't be mad if he was the selection and they must have really been wowed by what they saw.

The only thing that will make me mad on draft day is if we reach at 9, we don't acquire any extra picks, or we trade young talent in order to acquire extra or better picks

Knox defensive woes come from being to relaxed and not focused that is not hard to correct. Defending and shooting will be two noticeable strengths shown from him his first year imo that will stand out. The rest of his game will most likely be extremely inconsistent especially if he is the guy the knicks run alot of there offense through.

Sixers senior director of basketball operations Vince Rozman said Knox’s touch stood out the most.

“For his size, he can shoot,” Rozman said. “He can handle it a little bit. He’s really mobile. He’s a talent.”

How can you run your nba offense through someone who can't create for himself or others? Dude avg 2.5 TO's per without the ball in his hands... C'mon...geeesssh.

Rozman ain't no scout... Director of Ops getting hype after a workout. LOL
