I feel like we say this every year

last year we narrowed it down to frank/DSJ

this draft can go anywhere. i really dont know who we're gonna pick

Nah I think this year seems different. Last year around this time lots of guys were seemingly pegged to the spots they went to up to around pick 10 (except for maybe Lauri). This year except for Ayton I think 2-14 could go in a ton of directions.

There's going to be a ton of movement on Thursday. It's going to be fun.

Right now, the Knicks have to think: What do we have that can topple the Sixers and Celtics. That's a reality for this franchise. You can't think, "Oh gee, we just want a couple winning seasons..."

Yeah, the more I think about it. Mo Bamba has the highest ceiling especially if he can hit those corner threes consistently in game time.

The Pledge to being a Knicks fan is watching their front office screw up by doing nothing.

If this NEW Front Office union between Perry & Mills does nothing on draft night, the Knicks should trade KP for nuts & bolts Irving as a "Go win one for us" thank you.

I mean, the Celtics are already an emerging pain in the butt for the next 5-6 seasons. So young, so good. Came within ONE game of the Finals without their 2 best players.

The Sixers are ONE good off-season from joining them.

Already the BEST the Knicks can hope for...#3 seed and that's IF every thing goes right.

They NEED a game changer.

They NEED Mo Bamba.

Otherwise, might as well put a fleshlight over a garbage disposal and invite Mikal fans. :nonono:

Exactly. He could just get put in a system that he feels comfortable in and things click for him pretty quickly.

Reminds me of Al Harrington for some reason.

If that's who he plays like then I'll pass.

Sources indicate the Knicks believe Young would be a significant upgrade with a high upside and would snatch him if he fell

2nd report today about us taking Young if he's there at 9. On the other hand, Givony (on the Lowe podcast) said we wouldn't

Young at 9 would be a nice pick.

Dropping & us taking him is another story. I pray we ACTUALLY take him of he's there!

He's a PERFECT compliment to Frank & Porzingis. :(

I find interesting that so many mocks have us drafting Sexton but our beat writers have said next to nothing about his work out. It's all been Trae, Mikal, Knox, and Carter. I can't imagine these draft sites have better sources than Ian Begley.

Nah, he's not a perfect compliment, especially on defense

You're gonna have to have him guard points, cause he's too small to guard 2s and he doesn't put in the effort to make up for it, so that means you're taking away Frank's biggest strength (on ball defense), because he'd have to guard the 2 with Trae on the court

And then KP would suffer too, cause he isn't really great at PnR defense on the whole, and you add a defensive sieve like Young, and we'd be killed in every screening action

I just don't like him cause I put a lot of emphasis on defense when I want to build a team

+1000

YES! Frank's value on defense is versus PG's/primary ball handlers, where he can lock down the opposing PG and throw off the other teams rhythm. It's why we won games down early in the season when he was playing the 4th quarter (vs. IND, vs. CHA)

Strongly disagree with that about Trae. But I respect your opinion, so we'll agree to disagree about his fit with us.

I mean, if he's as good on offense as y'all say he will be, it'll cancel out his defense and I can see him being a good fit

You think Trae has defensive potential?
