Like, we won 22 games with healthy KP, 7 games after he went down (and really, the last one was against the Cavs end of bench guys, so I don't know how we're supposed to lose that one)

We won more games with KP than the Suns won all year, and the same amount as the Grizzlies

KP is literally the only reason we don't have a top 3 pick right now

I know what you mean. If we only had been bad enough to draft Fultz.

When I watch Doncic play he's one of the few guys that I don't have to be overly analytical about. He flat out looks like he knows how to play the game the right way. He does so many positive things on the court, and carries himself with such a winning demeanor. Anyone who has the luxury of drafting him should consider themselves very fortunate.

I know what you mean. If we only had been bad enough to draft Fultz.

Is it the player or the organization though. Honestly outside of 1-2, the rest of the lottery is probably around the same level talent wise. Doncic is hella skilled but guarantee you he is a way different player if he starts out his career with the Spurs/ Celtics than with the Kings/Suns.

Everyone keeps talking about the Mitchell and Tatum but ignore the fact that they probably went to the two best run organizations in the lottery that year and it's not even close.

I see people really fell for the Kings' fake hustle with these potential trades for Doncic.

you're on this mission to prove it doesn't matter where you pick when you know it's not true. there's mistakes everywhere. but as i explained multiple times now, the odds are better higher. between 1 and 9 the chance of getting someone special drops significantly. there's no arguing this.

If only the Knicks could have tanked better.

I would trade our #9, next year's first, THJr or Lee plus take Chandler Parsons off of their hands for Doncic. No one will beat that trade offer and Doncic's worth it.

Like it. But also need to maintain ability for Cap space next year. So if its Lee ,Thomas needs to go too. Doncic ,KP and Frankie would be cost controlled.

It wasn't KP & the kids that won us these games. It was KP & the vets. The vets filled in the gaps. It's a formula that we've seen before in other places as they prioritized getting low seed playoff experience over potentially adding a long term piece. See NOP.

Even then we weren't going to make the playoffs but this organization would of gladly taken the 35 wins and worse pick IMO.

HW if the Knicks were picking first would you say I don't want the #1 pick b/c all stars can be picked anywhere?

Ok but we had already won 22 games when KP went down. We won only 7 games the rest of the season. We’re at where we’re at and we’re going to get a very good player at 9, assuming we select the right player.

What did you want us to do without causing Silver to crawl up our asses?

When we were winning it was KP and most of the kids. Billy was the only player not getting minutes early on. Dotson was getting some but, after 2 starts he was exiled. After Timmy went down...we were LOSING with KP and the vets.

Pretty much. It's weird to see this being disputed. it really don't take any science. When KP went down the Knicks became a bottom 3 team. No one on the roster could stop that.
