Draft rules:
1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, players drafted from the 1985 draft (when the draft lottery was first implemented) to the 2017 will be eligible to be selected, as well any undrafted players whose first NBA season was 1985-86 or later. However, all players who were selected in the draft lottery will be banned, with only one exception allowed to each manager. This exception pick must also be a player who was drafted in 1985 or later.
2. For ease of reference, the draft lottery comprised the following picks for each year:
1985-88: Picks 1-7
1989: Picks 1-9
1990-94: Picks 1-11
1995-03: Picks 1-13
2004-17: Picks 1-14
Therefore, non-exception picks most fall outside of those ranges for the relevant drafts.
3. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.
4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.
5. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 85.0 FGA corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player.
6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA
7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.
8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.
9. Draft order will be completely randomized.
10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet.
11. The winner of the draft will be determined by rankings.
