It seems Vlade isn't only elite at flopping, he also has great smokescreens.

that will cost us just about any valuable asset we have. we dont have many assets to begin with and certainly dont have the luxury of getting rid of them. We need to stay at 9 and take best available

if the other option is staying at #9 and picking knox...I would agree with you and I liked keeping phil around because he didn't trade future picks. So I am very against dealing future picks.

But I see such a difference in talent between Bamba/Doncic and Knox...if we were set on Mikal I would be less inclined to move up but I get the feeling we are set on taking Knox now which I'm not thrilled about...

Part of that we would be faith in a strong 2019-20 season performance due to picking up someone like Kyrie to pair with KP and our 2018 #4 pick (Doncic or Bamba)

Has nothing to do with picking up Kyrie from my perspective, and everything to do with how I feel about Luka/Doncic forming a core with KP.

Amazed if we give up BOTH Frank and 9 AND take on a 50 million sunk cost of a contract. This is a deep draft and the value at 9 is not stratospherically different than 4.

we as knicks fans inflate Franks value. I dont think other teams look at Frank the way our organization does

Frank is cost controlled for a few years and as a rookie had some of the best peripheral defensive metrics in the entire league. That is great bang for the buck in the salary cap system.

They said Knox had Miles Bridges bouncing around. We never have a shot at a kentucky recruit. We might want to go with the kid. Doesn't seem like a head case, all his post are about proving doubters wrong and basketball.

For me its Knox or Mikal.

Yes he will be.
Salary cap $$$ in 2019 will be similar if we give up Thomas +Lee

Parsons by himself makes like 6mill more than them and Kyrie is going to demand the max. We won't have space.

Deeeez Knicks wrote:I am not crazy about Knox especially at #9. A wing with that size that gets that few blocks/steal/rebounds tells me a lot. The eye test backs that up too. His offensive game is not that great to make up for it.

But if he’s our guy I will root for him and hope for the best.

2 words.

Untapped Potential.

I’m sold with Knox at 9 if that is Fizdales Guy. If I am the GM , I’m betting my job on Fizdale. He’s going to help him grow and reach that untapped potential.

I’m also betting on Knox’s father. He seems like a really good Dad and I think so far he has raised a very good young man.

I think the sky is the limit for Knox. If he has an inner beast that we havnt seen and Fizdale thinks he can bring that beast out, then I let Fizdale have his guy.

Bamba>Doncic>Knox>Mikal>Carter is I think where im at. I’m only trading down if it’s really really worth it.

Moving the 2020 pick would be a calculated gamble, but worth it. Maybe even something like top 7-ish protected 2019 pick that turns into 2020 pick if not conveyed?

Lee, Thomas and 9 for Parsons and 4.
Then 4 and 2020 1st for 2. Draft Doncic.

If you have the conviction that Doncic is a franchise changing talent then this is not too much to give up.
Building a core around him Frank and KP is very very intriguing

You can make the space if Kyrie wants to be here. I dont see that as being such an issue. You can move Hardaway, Stretch Noah etc.

Yeah, maybe stretching Noah would make the difference and telling Mudiay to pound sand.

It's risky as we could be garbage again next year, but if we have #4 and #9 this year, we could be looking at Bamba/Mikail or if we're really lucky Doncic/Anyone at 9 because who gives a ****, Doncic is a generational talent being overlooked because he's European. Personally, I"d only do it if Doncic is available. Bamba doesn't move the needle for me like Doncic.

Seriously though, a team with Frank/Mikail/KP and Bamba would be insane on the defensive end.

I cant see any way we get 4 without giving up 9 and frank. Its a strong draft so #4 has alot of value

There's a pretty big difference in the talent at #4 (L.Doncic, M.Bamba, JJJ) compared to what's likely to be there at #9 (Both Bridges, K.Knox, C.Sexton).

I would rather the Knicks engage the kings over the grizz. Doncic would be a lock at 2.

I’d do #9, 2019 top 5 protected and a 2020’s pick swap.

KP Doncic and Frank is a great foundation.
