If we have Luka sitting there at three, and take him in exchange for offloading Baze's contract on Dallas plus a mediocre asset I'd legitimately root for Schlenk to get fired as soon as possible.

Coming in peace.

Can you tell me who that reporter is? Is he a respected ATL-guy?

He is the sports director for the local TV station.

Does this guy have a really good track record? That trade would be insane to me if it happened (no disrespect meant, of course).

He doesn't really talk about the Hawks much truthfully.

I've found that local radio and TV just have no clue.

It's hard to tell who's stupider in this situation: Atlanta or Dallas.

1. No need to get cute - select Doncic, keep him.

2. Don't devalue the pick by attaching Dennis or Bazemore

3. Pick Doncic, keep him

4. If Trae is falling, no need to trade #3 to get him. try and move up to get him: #14 from Denver, #15 from the Wiz, #17 ftom Bucks...one of these combined with #19 and #30.

5. Pick Doncic, keep him

I have doubts.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Since Porters latest injury concerns, Luka has grown on me a little, but his struggles against long athletes still concerns me.

I mean if Bagley were to be available(who's also risen to the top for me) I would prefer him over Luka. I'm probably the only one who would consider Porter still at this point.

Trading down for Trae or Bamba should be on the table also. With that said though, I would be okay with Luka just because he is so accomplished and has a high enough ceiling as well. Joe Johnson was more of a power guard, but I could see Luka become JJ esque in terms of what he can offer.

I feel better Schlenk tried his best finesse king Ainge deal with Cuban. An unprotected 2020 or 2021 pick would have been well worth it.

I like the idea of 4 if we go Luka at 3. That's the kind of backcourt that can grow into one of the all time great duo's.

I hope Schlenk is fired in a few years. I'm done with him.

Worst night as a Hawks fan for me. Maybe ever. I wasn't alive for the Nique trade.

Shelnck is so obsessed with mimicking the warriors that he thinks trae young can be his steph curry and passes on a talent like Luka.

This draft pick will haunt the hawks for years. With the lottery odds changing we will probably won't have a another top 3 pick in the next decade especially in a good draft like this.

I definitely won't be watching the hawks next season.

If Trae doesn't atleast become an all star I say Shelnck will lose his job within the next few years.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
