Underrated positive stats, fairly low foul rate, good assist and assist to turnover ratio, and decent number of steals.

ESPN's Big Board has him as a lottery-level talent. Attitude concerns have let him slide, but at 27, his raw talent is just too much to ignore. Great pick for us, he brings things to the table we've been lacking so far, shot-blocking and an athletic lob-catching roll man.
I just stole the Tantalizer nickname (alluding to Woj's thesaurus shenanigans when announcing the pick on Twitter) from Reddit, I can edit it out if wanted.
But nonetheless, I am **** excited about this one!

Sounds like a best case scenario to me. Fill a uge need with a rim defender and get very good value with serious upside. I just saw an article that had Williams "dropping" to the Hawks at 19, I'm pumped!

Anyone else catch TROZ calling Danny before the pic on the bleacher report stream? Said he was drafting a point guard jokingly then said "Bob Williams, checking the medicals". Rozier beat Woj!

He just needs to dunk and block shots and I am good. Welcome to Boston, young man.

7'6 wingspan and big time leaper though. 240 pounds not a twig either

Now if we could buy a second round pick and take Mitchel Robinson.

Super long and super athletic. His athleticism alone makes him the superior prospect over those two guys.

Put Big Willie style out there with Tatum, Hayward, Brown and Irving and bombs away. Williams can rim run and clean up the misses.

Very excited. Hopefully he works on his FTs and corner 3 in Maine this season and hopefully will be ready for 15-20 mins a night for 19-20!

I'm talking about height, If I meant his height + wingspan I would have said short.

Him having a 7'6 wingspan completely negates him being 6'9. He looks and plays like a 7 footer.

Re: The Tantalizer: Welcome Robert Williams!
All he has to do is catch lobs and block shots for the next 4 years. easy A grab at 27th pick low risk high reward and upside.

Lmaooooo bro, what is this post?
Williams is a completely different player than Yabusele or Sullinger.
This kid is DeAndre Jordan-lite.

You thinking he's going to have a size problem at all shows you're not aware that wingspan and athleticism is far more important than whether he's 6-9 or 7 feet.
If he has any problems in the NBA, it won't be based on his height.
