I love watching stuff like this. I remember those Providence videos about draft night for Johnson and Moore, they were a great watch.

But you guys have the ability to put him in the ideal situation. 12-15 minutes a game, have him focus on just defense and rebounding. He can be a bigger and better version of what GS got with Jordan Bell last year. He is really the ideal center to go with your guys team going forward. Im still in shock you guys got him.
This is truly a no lose pick. A guy ranked 12 on almost all boards and get him at 27 is a great night's work. He is not the make or break for this team nor was this pick a trade asset. This is just all upside for both the kid and the c's. Let's hope he makes the most of it. By the way do we know if he even worked out for us seeing he was expected to go maybe in the lottery?

He only worked out for teams picking in the teens, was never expected to be there at 27
Well Good for Danny then recognizing the talent on the table rather than go for the guys they worked out. If there is a winning ticket sitting there you pick it up. I am sure our organization and team will sort out any issues that are around Williams.

Again I think he has the next DJ/Capela written all over him.

Add in the Stevens effect....and....

Yup. Then being surrounded with the likes of Kyrie, Hayward, Brown and Tatum on the perimeter then having Horford and Baynes teaching him the ins and outs while on the court. The perfect ideal scenario for him to maximize his potential, just like DJ had in LA and Capela had in HOU.
Really good to get a great hard defensive worker so cheap to work with that arsenal if offense.

Really happy we didn't go with the low-ceiling defensive guard/questionable shot types that everyone seemed to have pegged for us at 27 and ended up going in the 2nd round. Not often you can fill an actual current need this late while also grabbing a guy with some legit upside to him.

I think we got really lucky here, he was projected to go much higher by most people for a reason, he has great tools, hopefully he puts in the work to become the great player he can become.

Seriously Embiid stopper is a priority. No need to equal him on offense. But his success is inflated by opponents lack of bigs. Big ball small ball counterpunch is coming.

You thinking he's going to have a size problem at all shows you're not aware that wingspan and athleticism is far more important than whether he's 6-9 or 7 feet.

If he has any problems in the NBA, it won't be based on his height.

I didn't say anything about that, I'm totally aware of it. Standing reach and athleticism is the most important thing, but it was just a note.
Ainge looks like he is searching the new draymond or something like that, the real problem is that those 2 were lazy and williams is considered one too, that was the line of my comment.

It's okay to admit you don't know what you're talking about. Admirable, even.

It's ok to admit you don't know to read, and if you are looking for some attention or have special needs isn't my problem, go to fix it with people who can help you, don't make me lose the time responding to idiotic things.

Man, check your grammar before suggesting someone has special needs in the same post.

They did though. They try to save Spanky’s grandma’s pastry shop from foreclosure. I’m embarrassed to say how many times my kids have put this on from Netflix.

Kinda like HOU w/ Capela. Adds a new dimension to the team if he pans out.

Anyone else not big fan of that quote? He's got motor issues, so I imagine this is the sort of thing that got him to fall to 27.

Can't wait until the first game against the Bucks: Giannis going to the hoop for a vicious flush -- but wait!!! There is already a long arm there at the rim, swatting away his pathetic attempts like so many gnats on a fetid deer!!!

Not sure. To me, where he plays positionally, is where he is going to do his job is what he means.
