he hasn't left yet.

But if he does, it obviously is going to affect his "legacy" in the eyes of some fans. If he leaves, he becomes "the guy who brought a championship to Cleveland." If he stays, then he becomes "the historic face of Cavaliers basketball", and synonymous with the franchise. He becomes the basketball version of Jim Brown.

The truth is that he just may not care about that. If he sees the post-basketball phase of his life centered around Hollywood/L.A., then being the King of Northeast Ohio may not hold much appeal to him.
