So Patrick Beverly and Mbah a Moute - is that what will be the end result?
(which is fine - good solid players - though would take Lance over Moute - but either way)

Re: Trade and free agency speculation
Suns really need to go get Lonzo. Great defender, amazing passer, can fly up the court. I will take the risk with Lavar I don't care. Lonzo and Booker is an amazing back court.
Give me Deng's contract back, see ya warren+Chriss+milwaukee pick.
Lonzo
Booker
Jackson
Bender
Ayton
Okobo
Knight
Reed
Bridges
Chandler
Let's go. That is a great young core. You don't get chances to acquire young superstars in the making often and Lonzo is a superstar pg in the making.

I'm torn on Lonzo. Not because of the family crap, but because of his jumper. He needs to spend the time and rebuild it. Somebody posted the Arenas video earlier and it is valid. He needs a release that will allow him to stop on a dime and go up. Instead he is forced to step back because he flings it. Fix the jumper and I am onboard with him. If he insists on the fling I would rather go elsewhere.

So we don't want a core of
Ball, Booker, Jackson, Bridges, Ayton
because of Lavar?
That would be the best young core in the NBA.

Or he just needs to watch Simmons and play like him! Think about Lonzo lobbing it to Ayton, getting booker open shots, etc.

The worst. No surprise the Suns social media accounts are really good now that he’s not in with them. Lindsay is truly bae.
Never been a fan of his work and that just gave me a reason to stop following bright side.

I live near LA, so I've spent a lot of my time telling the Laker fans at work how Lonzo sucks and will never learn to shoot and that he isn't an NBA athlete...I'd never live it down if the Suns ended up with him haha

No. If he ever wants to reach his potential he needs to change his shot. It limits him offensively as a scorer, which would open the game up and make everything easier, including setting up teammates, if fixed.

Dear God no it wouldn't the Lakers were a close to playoff team,
LONZO IS A YOUNG SUPERSTAR. He's a once in a generation type point guard talent wise. Lakers would be beyond foolish to give him up and I want to stick it to them so badly to pair Lonzo with our young core.
You figure out how to deal with Lavar, you take an undervalued young asset in a 3 way trade to get your superstar point guard who's a 2 way player.
We don't need Lonzo to shoot a ton of jumpers we have Booker Bridges Jackson Ayton Bender to shoot

We are going to have a hard enough time paying for our four players in four years. Sarver didn't want to pay for a max Amare, Joe Johnson, and Marion with a reasonable deal on Nash. The core is going to be three of Booker, Jackson, Ayton, and Bridges. Unlikely we will be able to keep all four unless Jackson or Bridges turn into just role players. Booker and Ayton max for sure.

RIGHT. We'd wreck the league in 2-3 years when we're fully developed.

Re: Trade and free agency speculation
Sidery and Kleen agree with me on Smart. Glad someone does:

In part 1, they mentioned that their #1 option for a PF is Kyle Anderson.
No mention of Bertans, though.

To be fair, we already have the best young core in the NBA.

Re: Trade and free agency speculation
Ball sucks. seriously, he can't shoot, that shot is beyond broken. Infuriating that anyone actually wants him on their team. His 0.108 points per touch is a league low among players with at least 80 touches per game. That statistic alone should speak enough in itself.
Not to mention, any deal with him will have Deng attached. Meaning, you are paying $22M+ for him since Deng is useless. **** THAT
