Didn't Lebron get the Memo that big men are obsoleted and no longer useful in the modern game, why does he want to recruit one to play with him? He definitely can not defeat GS with Boogie on his team, I guess he is as clueless as those who demanded the Suns to draft Ayton instead of Doncic /s

FA period hasn't even started. Is his rendition of the "The Decision" even finished on ESPN yet? Just because he's going to Westbrook's party doesn't signal he's staying.

But is there a better man up D ... he’d be on Harden Curry Westbrook Lillard Bron etc.

I’d have no probs with him bulldogging all those studs. His intensity and attitude would fit and be welcomed

We are one of the few teams that can offer $$ and starter minutes at PG

It just depends how much though. Do you really want to be paying Smart 12m+ for 3-4 years

Yeah I'm cool with it.

Newsflash
Any starter worth a **** is going to cost that. These salaries will take some time to get used to

Ulis was let go so he could a chance in Free Agency

Would have been worse to cut him this summer. At least now he has some time to learn Chinese

trying to stir the pot I see...that or you have multiple personalities.

25/12/5 with 35% 3PT is exceptional for a center, Cousins definitely isn't in the class of obsolete big men.

I never mentioned Ulis? I'm fine letting him go and obviously good starters will cost money but I dont think Smart is our long term answer so dont want to tie up a ton of cap 4 years down the line on him as I think Boston's system makes him look better than he is. 2 year deal with team options after that would be ok. Just dont want to see a 4/60 type deal

Yeah. The Kawhi thing could drag out. Now that Philly struck out they may up their offer. Especially with the PG news.

Smart inked up for 4 yrs is no big deal. He’ll remain an asset for the duration, unlike Dudley Chandler and knight

We need talent

These young guys won’t sign for 1-2 yrs

Yeah, I hope we steer clear there. Harrison can provide that role for much less or VanVleet with solid offense too. http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1

See you guys on July 4th when we always make our “big” free agent signing that we think is great but it’s just us doing something after everyone else gets the players they want.

Don't get Smart, don't get Fred VanVleet. they'll be too expensive.

Get Faired in exchange for 2 1st round picks 4-5 years from now unprotected. They're in cap hell now with Barton, and Jokic going to be signing.

The two players I felt would be connected to the suns, Aaron Gordon and Avery Bradley, have not been brought up once in the media.

The George thing is done and bron is headed to LA those are two locks at this point.

Barton got a nice deal. I liked him but maybe not that much.

Cousins to the Lakers would be a big letdown

Just read the cap is going up next year. Maybe need to change strategy

Beverly

Trade for Wilson Chandler and take a first round pick for your troubles and take the cap space next year

Nuggets would be full-blown insane to do that. Faried expires this year, and they don't need to clear room to sign their own players.

the "X is a 100% lock to go to the Lakers" stuff has been pretty funny to me for a while now, first Kevin Love, then Westbrook, now PG, maybe even LeBron
