I'm surprised he's going there practically empty handed. Either that or the Lakers clued him in on an agreement to the framework of a Kawhi trade soon to follow. Then I would assume Cousins and Tyreke.

All going according to plan. Kawhi and Kemba to follow if the Lakers have the assets to make the move.

I really don’t see how they have enough assets to trade for both. We will not take Ball, nor will the Spurs. Someone explain how those packages could work.

Clearly LeBron wanted LA. Never gave Cleveland a chance. It is his prerogative and I don’t blame him. They have a high me there and his son can start high school there. He will base and expand his next career from there.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Actually relieved he's not staying in Cleveland because we wouldn't hear the end of Kemba trade rumors. Plus I think Kemba is loyal while LeBron bails on teams. The thought of the two of them together makes me sick. Completely different character. I'm also happy LeBron's not piggy backing on Philly. They never took short cuts. They're their own thing. I think they can really stick it to LeBron if they acquire Kawhi and convince him to stay.

With Lebron leaving, Cleveland seems content to build around Sexton and Love. Not sure Love wants to remain there though. Sexton was only an option if Lebron stayed, now he is Cleveland's future

Around the NBA 10

Woj reporting Lakers will now be "more aggressive" in pursuit of Kawhi. LAL have the G.O.A.T. now and just starting to load up in free agency / trades. Magic is putting the Warriors on notice. I wish MJ was as good on the business side of things as Magic Johnson.

People think I'm crazy but with LeBron gone, we are shoe-ins to the playoffs and have a shot at the ECF if we just use the MLE and maybe trade one guy like MKG or Marv

Hezonja signed for less than MLE. He signed for 6.5 million AND he was being chased by 4 teams.

Hornets are going to get a win-now player with the MLE.

It's possible Kupchak turned Dwight into Tyreke Evans + Devonte Graham.

Can't lie, I'm pretty tempted with LeBron moving west. I think if there's a way to get Kawhi, even without a guarantee beyond the year, the Hornets should pull the trigger. I'd have no reservations about adding next year's first, as it's a weaker draft at this point and a Kemba/Kawhi combo likely place the pick in the early-to-mid 20s. Future picks could be dicey but they could protect them in such a way that the blow could be minimal if the team is still bad in three years (basically meaning he leaves).

It's a gamble but **** it, the east is open.

So he can do to us what he did to the Spurs? Dude is worth nothing to anyone except LA. When you are top 5 player you call the shots.
