The media and the fans who buy into it for their obsession with rings while ignoring all context. And then Kevin Durant.

It's funny that some of this new generation doesn't seem to realize/care that not all rings will be treated equally.

KD could rack up 6 rings & Steph 7 but they won't be in any conversation for GOAT outside of the Bay area. These are easily the most meaningless championships/rings in the last 40+ years.

All the things above are to blame, but Kevin Durant is by far the worst man alive and he is to blame for this BS.

And the funny thing is, i like GS, they drafted smart, they developed. But when one man is such a pussy and has zero heart, what you can do about it ? I don't hate GS but i don't love or root either. This season, i wont even watch GS games like i did 05-15.

How people could watch the 2016 finals vs the 2018 finals and not get the difference between whats a meaningful championship and whats not. Nobody even talked about the 2018 finals a day after it happened, the 2016 finals still is memorable

Casual fans.
Convert municipal and agricultural waste to refined natural gas. Sell the refined natural gas to gas companies. Use the money to provide a monthly basic income to people that earn less than $28,000 a year.

It's like no one paid attention to Bill Russel. He has 11 (!!) rings as I recall yet it never comes up and to the extent that it does it gets written off immediately for the era. It will IMO be similar here. But I think people are overreacting with Cousins. Dude was crippled by this injury - even assuming medical science has dramatically advanced this decade in Achilles tendon injuries he's likely never going to be the same player.

Marriages dont mean much either. You get married if dont like the person in the next 6 months get divorced. Get remarried. Rinse repeat. Its the new generation.

Over valuing rings with no regard to context.

Let's see now....

The guy who joined 47-win and 33-win teams to create his "super teams" or the guy who joined a 73-win team? WOW, this sure is a toughie....
