I dont think it would be a super pick but they could have major issues because their roster doesnt look so balanced plus who is their center? If Clippers implode and we get Kings and Clips pick 1 and 2(sac) we won a trade we werent even apart of.

Doesn't have to be a super pick, really. As it stands, there's a very real chance it converts into a '22 2nd, if the Clips fall back out of the playoffs moving forward. So, even if Leonard makes them significantly better, at least we're converting it into a sure-thing near-term 1st, instead of a likely distant 2nd.

Obviously if they implode, so much the better, but that's just a bonus.

Eh keep in mind that Shams is pretty locked in. The dude has Woj level sources (or at least near Woj level), so I wouldn't dismiss this outright. It also lines up with guys like Paul George not wanting to follow LeBron to the Lakers.

That being said, Kawhi had to know LeBron was going to the Lakers all along, so unless Kawhi never really wanted the Lakers and it was all media agenda, I wouldn't imagine this would stop Kawhi from wanting to go there.

I doubt that many truly want to play with Lebron anymore. I tried to tell people this when some were clucking at the idea of Lebron/Boston. He is just far too controlling and everything that is around him now has to do with his pathetic "GOAT" legacy. You can't even watch a damn Lebron game without them mentioning his all time stats and MJ every 4 minutes or putting charts on the screen.

Yes. The Celtics wouldn’t have the salary to give back unless they included Kyrie, Hayward or Horford

I could rant about this forever. How everyone always gets the blame around him. And has anyone seen Kevin Love? He looks like half the man he once was mentally and physically after his time in Cleveland. :noway:

I have no idea how deep this fascination is with Kawhi and LA and how much truth there is. But the Clippers often seem doomed too. Still the Lakers don't look as if they can hang with the Warriors anyway so why bother? Maybe if the Clippers thing happens they can slowly recruit more talent there.

Also to further my biased hate towards rivals, why would anyone want to play with Embiid and Simmons too? One is an annoying child and the other is an over hyped child. And Fultz, my goodness he looks deranged.

If my arithmetic is correct, the Celtics need to include at least one of Irving, Hayward, Horford, Tatum, Brown, Smart or Monroe.

It might also be mathematically possible if the Celtics trade EVERYBODY else they have, but that's a ridiculous scenario even if possible, so I haven't bothered checking it.

Also ridiculous, of course, are most of the possibilities I did name.
