None of these contracts are official yet. Smart can be included in a sign-and-trade if a Kawhi trade happens prior to him signing it, I believe.

The spurs will take a LOT less from an EC team than a WC team, ESPECIALLY the Fakers.

I still don’t think that either Buford or Pop would ever trade KL to the Fakers. Hence the outrageous ask from the Spurs of the Fakers.

Trying to think what would be in it for SA in a Clipper trade. And I guess given they are not getting premium assets from the Lakers, 76ers or the Celtics with perhaps being the best prospect being maybe a Sacramento pick.... which may or may not even be offered. Only thing I can think of would be perhaps in part what we got with the Nets when we did our massive trade with them. Being able to clear off most long term contracts to do a salary dump.

So maybe they could do this. Aldridge, Kawhi, Mills for every contract the Clips have with one year left. Plus picks and what not. Not the best trade but sets SA up to do a full tank and have max salary spots to entice free agents to come to the exciting San Antonio metropolitan area. And a few of those names are flippable for more draft picks.
