maybe not but coming back from a major injury is never a sure thing.

Can someone explain how this was a chess move by Vlade? What benefits them to make the offer just to have the Bulls match a huge contract and risk being stuck with a player they didnt want? Pretty sure they wanted him its not that complicated. Just dont understand why. Why would you risk everything for a guy that didnt look back from the knee injury last year.

Chicago isn’t a player in the cap space sweepstakes anymore. One less team to fight with in absorbing contracts through trade for incentives.

I won't be surprised if the Kings end up going after Smart as a consolation prize.

That will backfire because Boston will not match. Now Jabari on the other hand...... Go screw the Bucks Vlade!

I hope not.

What they need to do is acquire a 1st round pick. Take a salary dump and acquire some picks. I don't think they have a 1st round pick next year.

Lmao what? Lavine is a 23 year old prospect. Lol Deng was obviously slowing down. Not even close to the same thing

Jesus, you dodged a bullet there.

That is a bad contract. Way overpaid. Lavine's BBIQ is really low and the Bulls will regret giving him this contract very soon. Bulls did the Kings a huge favor.

Pat Riley sees your Ibaka contract, and he raises you the Tyler Johnson contract.

They're paying this guy $20 million per year over the next two seasons:

That was baffling to me...why not just offer him less, i dont think think any other team would fight you loll (same goes with ibaka)

its like we could probably give him 15 mil and no one will match but heck lets through 5 mil extra just for the sake of it

SAC fans, Knicks fans feel your pain.

At least Lavine could realistically be a 25 PPG scorer.

We paid 70 mil for a guy I wouldn’t put in the top 15 at his position. :noway:

Yup. Definite sunk cost fallacy going on to a certain extent here.
