Hornets/Magic

Post#1 » by GoBobs » Tue Jun 26, 2018 4:55 pm

Mozgov and 2 2nds for Biyombo

Why for Magic: get 2 2nds and create playing time for Bamba, also save like 1.3 mil in salary

Why for Hornets: Biyombo would be on the end of the bench behind Cody, Frank and Willy but it would be decent injury insurance and see the return of a well liked player to the Hornets

I'd do this since Biz is a flat out better player than Mozgov, but it doesn't really accomplish much. We're still too stacked with centers who can't play any other position.

This is not how the Hornets should be spending 2nd rounders right now.

Yep, if draft assets are going out an expiring contract needs to be coming back.

Let's check Brooklyn and see if Dwight Howard is available!

A couple seconds doesn't get you those kind of savings. It'd need to be a first.

LMFAO.

Would you be willing to attach Kemba to get out of Mosgov's deal?

Kemba
Mosgov

for

Vucevic
Ross

Serious question.

no one on the board wanted to water down Kemba’s Value by attaching him to Batum. Pretty confident the opinion still stands.

No thanks. Magic just added 2 Second Rounders to their roster this year. Don't think that can afford to keep happening and expect to have a good roster. Biyombo is a much more useful player who can defend 3-5 and he comes alive in the playoffs.

I can not deny that he has playoff averages of 8.5 points 12.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per 48 min. I'm surprised there isn't a statue of him in Toronto.

I will also admit that a second round pick isn't really all that useful its just a form of currency in the nba that gets passed around, but lets face it, Biyombo and Mozgov both aren't going to really play. We are two bad teams and these guys are like 3rd string. I just like Biyombo a little better. When you guys look at him you are going to remember how you payed him like 17 mil per year and it is going to give you a little bit of a headache. If you trade for Mozgov however you will look at him and think like, yeah he is a scrub but we traded another bad contract for him so we just have to wait it out a minute.

Sometimes a second round pick can be use full we traded two to move up to 34 in the draft and get a PG you guys could have used also. The hornets second round picks are almost like late 1st rounders, you guys should be all over this.

Props mate. And your team made an even better version of this deal so double win for you.
