She is excellent at her job and this is a bigger deal than people will make it out to be.

Never worked with her directly but I've heard so, so many positive things. I wonder who will run the staff now.

They would not be letting her go if they didn't already have someone equally adept in mind. Its just not like Lacob in Co.

She probably checked out the kind of mansion she could afford in ATL.

That sucks, she was dubbed a miracle worker and was the reason Klay was able to bounce back so quickly. She's elite. I had a lightweight crush on her too :(

I imagine there are any number of personal reasons someone might make a move like this. But I don't know the job/space enough to know if there could be professional reasons.

Youve seen her. Short hair blonde on the bench with a popped collar.

How did this happen? I'm sure they will find someone great at their job, but she was lauded as a magician. Really surprised Lacob & Co. let this happen unless it was a personal reason. I can't imagine Atlanta outbidding the Warriors for her services...

You ever consider she may have wanted to go to Atlanta?

Atlanta offered her a higher position as Executive Director of Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine. Warriors tried to keep her but she wanted the challenge of the more responsible position. It’s not my field so I don’t know the nuances between the different positions, but I can’t fault someone for wanting a significant promotion in their field of expertise.

It's my impression that most people are trying to move away from the Bay Area. I personally love it here but the prices are outrageous.

Alternate theory, prepare yourselves.

She was in love with Steph. Her heart was breaking slowly, knowing that she was never going to pry Steph away from the Ayesha stranglehold, so she is moving to a team that has a younger, newer, more available version of Steph ready to take the NBA by storm.

She just wants love.

More likely she has eyes on Sydell Curry.

I'm not sure if I needed to prepare myself better or take a shower after. Oy. :o

Best of luck to her. She seemed well regarded in the organization. It will be odd seeing someone else working with the players.

This was my theory of her as well, but then I read in the Chronicle that she was married or had a boyfriend.

Sounds to me like an upgrade/more responsibilities/larger salary, and since it is the Hawks, their season will end two months earlier than ours.
Mansions are cheap as eff in Georgia (relatively speaking)

win, win, win

Return to Golden State Warriors
