I really don't know what we do if Melo comes here tbh. Wade would want to come back, but there's gonna be someone pissed off between Wade/TJ/Dion/Ellington/JRich/Justise/McGruder/DJJ.

id take oly over johnson especially when you factor in their age

I thought two way players (walton) dont count towards the 15 man roster. This probably isnt Melo related, they had until Friday to make a decision on Walton.

Look, we're going to be middle of the pack anyways, so I'd rather do it for 1 year with a final Wade/Melo run than do it with what we went through last year for 2 more years.

Something like TJ and JJ for Melo and a pick could work for me.

I still have a weird feeling that we're going to get in on either Kawhi or Jimmy. Dream with me for a second...

JRich, Bam, 2019 1st for Kawhi

TJ, JJ for Melo and 2019 1st

Dragic, Hassan, Waiters and OKC 1st for Jimmy, Dieng and Tyus Jones.

If Ellington gets a bigger offer elsewhere, bring in Jamal Crawford for the MLE

Winslow/Wade/Jones
Butler/(Ellington or Crawford)
Kawhi/McGruder/ DRob
Melo/DJJ/ Haslem
Kelly/Dieng

That leaves a few spots for guys like Maten, Macon, Walton, whoever else we give looks at for last last few spots and 2 way spots. i could see us adding a project big that gets released from another team (like we did with Mickey last year).

Wouldn't mind us looking at Chris Boucher with our other two-way deal.

The Heat are trying to trade Dion Waiters according to Sam Amico.

Not sure there's much of a market for him.

Has played 76 games combined over the past 2 years, and didn't set the world on fire last season:

14.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.8apg, 2.3tpg, 0.8spg, 0.3bpg, 30.6mpg, 39.8%fg (5.4/13.7)m 30.6% 3fg (1.7/5.7) and 73.9%ft (1.7/2.3).

Coming off major ankle surgery and with 3 years still on his deal...why would anyone want him?

Amick's the only credible Sam, I doubt Amico would have any phalanges in the Heat FO

Now isn't the time. Riley made our bed. We gotta treadmill to the playoffs until that debt is paid. Would be crippling to give up a potential franchise player.

Heat are trying hard to make room at the swing position, money and roster spots. Desired to increase the MLE and overall cap space. Additions of Wade, Wayne and a good possibility . May see a shift to point Winslow. Wouldn't be surprised if Waiters is traded purely for money

Somebody keep an eye on Winslow. A defensive wing who can't shoot? Presti won't be able to help himself.

Waiters is only making 10 mill right? He had an incentive that if he didn't play so many games he doesn't get 2 mill of his contract?

I think any deal with Heat/OKC is dead, unless it's OKC last resort.

Yeah, possibly. I don't know what Presti is looking for, exactly. Is he just trying to get rid of the salary? Or is he trying to get a replacement back?

Fwiw my boy's cousin is a trainer, he works out a lot of pro athletes. Winslow worked out with him a few weeks back, doing some ball handling stuff and he looked slimmed down. My boy said Winslow had it on his ig story a while back.

It seems like they are trying to get a cheaper role player and instant salary cap relief.
