LeBron is a true laker.

You are not a true laker fan.

What do Magic/Heat fans think of Shaq? I'm assuming Suns think he's a bastard, lol.

You can be unreceptive, dislike LeBron, dislike the move, dislike the front office, but actively rooting for another team and/or against what was your team is petty and un fan like.

I despise LeBron, and I wouldn't like it if he joined my team, but I'd still root for him/them.

Shaq is cool. He brought home our 1st Chip. Did not like the way he left. However #32 is up in the rafters in AAA. Shaq in Blaq :D

That's because you're a true fan of the team and not of the player. Any other conclusions makes no sense.

Of course you can dislike a player but still root for the success of the team via them

I really underestimated how much Lebron's move would separate the Kobe stans from real Laker fans

I really underestimated how often the word "stan" would end up being used . . .

Alonzo Mourning for refusing to play for us and thereby forcing us to buy him out and paying his salary for many years as a follow-up to losing Vince Carter in one of the most loopsided trades in NBA history. Bob Babcock set the franchise back for many years with those two moves.

Hedo Turkoglu for being our worst free agent signing aside from Jason Kapono. Thanks for those two, Bryan!

You're taken in too easily. Riley started out as a shill for Don Nelson. This is in 2017 when he's saying these things in order to not look stupid like he usually did.

Riley is contradicted by both Joe Lacob and John Hammond in 2015.

First Lacob, "“I’m getting chills talking about (Ellis) right now,’’ Warriors owner Joe Lacob said in an interview after the Ellis-Bogut centered deal. “He’s one of my favorite players in the NBA. Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy. I feel strongly about him.

“It was incredibly difficult to trade him, but he’s the piece it had to be to get Andrew Bogut. We would have traded either (Curry or Ellis) to take the next step for this franchise.’’

Hammond's side
"If the Bucks hadn't been so conservative, they would have instead acquired (Stephen) Curry, whom the Bucks scouting department was enamored with when he entered the 2009 draft and was taken as the seventh overall selection by Golden State.

Unlike some teams, the Bucks scouting department wasn’t overly concerned that Curry played at a small college -- Davidson -- and that he was a so-called ‘’tweener’’ as a 6-foot-3 guard.

But the Bucks were concerned about Curry's ankles. He underwent surgery on his right ankle to repair torn ligaments in May of 2011. The following March, he had season-ending surgery on the same ankle.

So, with Curry having ankle issues and with Ellis seemingly entering the prime of a potentially-great career, the Bucks opted for Ellis, who was a huge fan favorite in the Bay Area."

As a Knicks fan there really isnt any that come to kind.

As a Jets fan, I can think of a ton of guys not know as Jets, but played for them at the end of their career or peak that I think falls into this category.....

Ronnie Lott
Plaxico Burress
Ed Reed
Mike Vick
Ladainian Tomlinson
Brandon Marshall

Jason Taylor is the ultimate bastard son I never wanted any part of on the Jets....but when he made a big play in the AFCCG in Pittsburgh you better believed I cheered my ass off lol

Yes yes, I'm well aware of how you are a Monta stan. But you said the Warriors wanted to trade Curry and wanted to keep Monta. I can say - unfortunately through anecdotal evidence - that both of these claims are false, and at best are exaggerations.

Its funny that everyone in the building corroborates what Riley said. We queered a deal with PHX for Curry, everyone was excited for the guy, Monta had alienated the franchise by lying to them and being aggravated when we drafted and kept Curry. But we wanted to trade Curry and keep Monta? Totally makes sense. But what would I know? I'm too easily taken in, because I believe one GM over another, both in retrospect. Curry on a rookie deal or Monta on his long-term deal with his.. let's call it, amateur photography career... and his lying. I'm sure they were on the same value scale too..

I could definitely see Lacob being that excited about Bogut that he'd trade Curry. I couldnt see anyone else in the building being that excited, after the whole Amar'e fiasco.

The Bulls probably have a full roster

James 'Budda' Edwards
John Salley even if they won titles
John Starks
Ben Wallace
Rip Hamilton
Caldwell Jones
George Gervin (even though he was cool to have on the team)
Ron Artest leave the Metta World
Keith Bogans
Eddie Robinson
PJ Brown
Jalen Rose
Jamal Crawford
Hakim Warrick

thanks for backing me up

it seems that people do not believe that there is a sizable portion of laker fans who do not want lebron on the team

we will be paying a 34 year old lebron 40 mil a year while he marginalizes ingram, lonzo, kuz and hart

how exciting!

Yeah, you should've passed on the best player in the NBA, who hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, so you can run your offense through one promising young player and three other decent young players who combined will never impact a game as much as he does.

How smart!
