Dekker being waived would be sad for him. Showed some early promise in Houston but hasn't really improved as a player.

I'd easily waive Boban and Wes first, then try to get a trade happen and if nothing gets through, waive Juwan
Retaining Tyrone as a 2-way would be massive

I like Boban. Wes no one cares for, but Boban I wouldn't waive. Jawun is certainly a candidate to be waived, just not good enough at his size for this level.

Wait a minute: doesn't waiving a player mean their salary counts against the cap, meaning they'll be in luxury tax heck, use up all their cap space, and be locked out of signing new players until they can go below the tax?
In other words, cutting Wesley or Boban won't be enough. They could be forced to cut a player they truly like, Beverley being the candidate because of his non-guarantee contract.
Clippers should try to find a trade partner, one who has non-guaranteed contracts. Let's not repeat the same mistake Doc Rivers made when he traded Dudley for Raduljica and Delfino in 2014.

I believe we're $500K below the luxury tax. Yes, people we cut count against the salary cap, which is why teams attach draft picks to undesirable contracts to dump them and avoid the cap hit.
We won't be doing any stretching this year as we did with Delfino and Raduljica, we'll just eat the pain because we're not contenders. But stretching them was the right thing to do at the time. The situation was completely different: Time was running out on the CP-BG window and that's no time to be tight with a couple sal cap bucks a few years down the line.

We have 18 players and are still below the luxury tax threshold. The only time you are "locked out of signing new players' is if you are hard capped, which means you can't exceed the tax apron (i.e. $6M and some change over the tax threshold).
We have until late October to trim the roster to 15 whether that be by trading players away or waiving them and taking the cap hit.

I would be fine keeping Williams. Dekker just hasnt shown much here, and Evans was always going to be a long-shot to stick.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

It didn't look good for him last season when he lost confidence in his shot and passed up wide open jumpers which hurt the 2nd unit when he actually got spot minutes here and there. He hasn't had any upward momentum since

47. Montrezl Harrell, underground highlight machine. There’s something deeply admirable about a player who tries to rip the rim from the backboard on every roll.
