The NYPD looking for Smith might slowdown Houston for a minute.

Rather see them add Korver

Would have to be something coming back to the Cavs right? Why would they do it straight up?

JR wouldn't be a starter or finisher on the Rockets.

Ryan Anderson isn't a starter, finished or middle of the game and teams need to have more than 5 players.

What I was saying is that Rockets wouldn't depend on JR as much as the Cavs did.

He’s not as bad as his reputation - he’s a decent defender and when he gets hot he makes some amazing shots. I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing him on the Thunder next season if Houston passes on whatever this deal is...

I think it would be wise to get him out of Cleveland for both his and their sakes just cause of the stigma of the Game 1 incident. He’s essentially an expiring contract as well so he’s got some value due to that...

CP isn’t known for being a tolerant teammate.

And everybody knows that JR will make mistakes. Putting him and CP on the same team seems like a great recipe for disaster.

Dude would be the Rockets 7th-9th man. Can we give it a rest? It isnt likely to happen anyways.

If what i read last night is true about the central pieces being JR and Ryan Andersen, i say no from Clevelands end unless they're getting an asset attached to Andersen's contract.

Because we've just seen what happened to the Cavs with that strategy 2 years running?

Don't understand the hate on JR. He's overpaid but he'd be fine on the Rockets at this point. They don't really have any other options. He was just on the floor in the waning minutes of a game 7 and Lebron trusted him throughout the playoffs. He isn't as good as he was 2-3 years ago, but I don't the Rockets are expecting much out of him....but still, when push comes to shove I'd rather have JR out there than Gerald Green or Ennis or whoever else they have.

And I'm the Rockets would rather have him than Ryan Anderson at this point....

love it... if Morey can get Jeremy Lin after all star break, that would be even more terrific... D'Antoni, Melo, JR, Lin... for the NYK glory , Champs...

He was last good in 2016. Dont see why Houston would want him. He was TERRIBLE last year.

I think its a great idea.

Not for the Rockets mind you, but for me as an NBA fan that would love to see Paul's reaction when JR goes full JR-mode in a crucial playoff game.

He hasn't played any defense in years and he's hot once every 5 games. He's a complete scrub.

When JR dribbled the ball to the 3 point line, I was in disbelief. When Lebron showed his frustration, I just shook my head and laughed. JR had a very good chance at an easy basket, such low BBIQ. F-bomb.
