This got me so damn hype, I can't wait to get this. Bump the holidays, I'm getting a Switch next month. Want to be fully ready for this when it comes out.

Need to link up online when it does so we can get some matches in both against and on a team. That goes for anyone else who plans on getting Smash on the Switch.

If I had a Switch I might've been able to get Smash on day one, but gonna have to wait for that too for awhile. Honestly though, not a fan of the recent Smash Bros. games after Melee. They're alright, but Melee was legendary.

Smash is great, but the thing is, I've played so much Smash in my life, dating back to N64. Of course it always gets improved upon (although I guess that's up for debate), but I think I'm Smashed out at this point. I'm sure it would still be a lot of fun to play every now and then with friends, but as a game I buy and get my money's worth playing by myself, I don't think that's happening anymore. I think Melee is probably my 2nd most played game of all time, according to my unofficial records. Pokemon R/B/Y is probably number one, with the number of playthroughs (never counted, but it's at least 50) being higher than the number of hours spent on the average game I've played throughout my life.

- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Please tell me that Detroit: Being Human gets better, because I threw away the receipt. All it seems to be is making choices and controlling the movie. Is it just getting a baseline of information, or is the whole thing like that?

I watched maybe half of it on Youtube and the story struck me as a worse version of Asimov.

Oh, its bad. Decent graphics, but terrible camera angles. No control whatsoever. If you are a first person shooter kind of guy(me), its not good at all. I don't mind a good story line, but that's all it is.

Its a pure choose your own adventure story thing. Very niche. Hard pass for me. I need action or else id rather just fire up netflix or read a book.

A way out.

I really like it. Rather easy so far but good story and great teamwork. Really thrilling action and camera work going on.

I hope we get an N64 mini this year like we did with NES and SNES the previous two years.

Same here. Really want N64 mini. It was the first console I was really hyped about. NES I was too young for, it was just there but I grew up with it. SNES, kind of the same thing but I remember when it hit the store shelves. I didn't know about it, but suddenly there was a new Nintendo. However, with the N64, we had gaming magazines and pre-historic internet news outlets covering it. It was my dream console since it was unveiled as Nintendo Ultra 64. Hyped for N64 mini now 8-)

Yeah, me and a buddy had a ton of fun with A Way Out when it came out a couple months ago. It was made by a smaller studio and it was a little unpolished (Particularly some of the combat animations), but it was still a really unique and fun experience.

I never had a SNES, I had a Mega Drive (Genesis), it was the best Christmas present I've ever had. I loved my N64 and I really want a mini so I can complete Zelda! I dug my N64 out over Xmas but the graphics haven't aged well, it all looks really blurry.

Very interested to see what news Nintendo brings according to Smash because they gave a ton of info on this game at E3. Possible new additions to the roster? New stages being introduced? Story mode being added back? Other game modes being introduced? These Nintendo Direct announces never cease to disappoint...

Finally NBA 2K19 dropped a trailer for the upcoming game today. I am sure they will start to leak more about the game play mechanics, game modes, etc. as the month rolls along. Thoughts about how the trailer looks?

My take on this so far is that some of the character models do look cleaned up compared to last year. Mike Wang did state that the savvy PGs in the league will be able to hold the defender on their back with the dribble to either keep them from blocking the shot or draw the foul. He also said that the ability to Euro step into a dunk will be in the game. Whether those moves will be OP in the game remains to be seen though.
