Frank slow release not a problem. I dont remember his jumper getting blocked. He reminds me of Billups.

Good riddance.

Don't need him anywhere near this team, even if they tell him to stay home again this year. The Knicks can't afford the NBAPA to get on their asses about sitting out Noah purposely.

All this lets me know is that Pills has some assurances through back channels that some one is coming. I doubt they stretch Noah and remain this adamant not to integrate him back into the team or even seriously entertain it without some indications that if they stretch him someone has made it clear they're willing to come.

Dumb. Trade him for Deng, LA could use a back up C while Luol could play some 4 for us. Only stretch when you get that commit.

I’d rather simply buy out Noah. No stretch

How you know they don't have one already via back channels?

this is tough man. Stretching him shows we are serious about going after FA in 2019 but he’s on the cap for 5 years right ?

Even if they do, it's not official till there's a contract. Whatever player it is, could always back out. It's a huge risk.

6 million cap vs a young player or pick. Stick to your guns Perry. Finally being smart.

I wouldn't doubt it

I just don't think this is something you do until you get the signature on the paper. Lot can change in the next 11 months

How do you even know the Lakers would want to make that trade?

From what I've read it seems like the Lakers would rather get out of that Deng contract than take back a similar contract in return. Sounds like they might buy him/stretch as well.

It's not tough. It's 1 more year vs 2 more years. If you keep him, he might even be tradeable next year as an expiring contract. You stretch him, you're looking at his contract on your books for 2019, 2020, and 2021, with no ability to move it at all.

Which is why I believe if they are willing to take this drastic measure it's because they have some assurance that someone is coming. Perry is very meticulous and calculated. I don't think he'd be this adamant to stretch Noah based on a whim or a chance. He's playing on a connection here.
