While also not completely diluting the regular season. That would mean that Week 16 would determine the championship. How would you feel about that?

Weeks 1-13 (Regular Season)
Weeks 14-16 (Playoffs)

Does anyone have an issue with it?
Hummm.

Wut?

What the hell did I get myself into?

What's the problem? Murph had a valid complaint about Week 17 & players' resting. It's a solid alternative.

If people don't like it, it can always be changed.

So after waiting 41 weeks to play 17 weeks of fantasy football, we are gonna throw away one week because someone had a weak bench and wasn't prepared compete the last week.

If you can come up with a better alternative, we can discuss it.

I don't have a problem with it honestly. Most playoff bound teams decide to sit their players anyway that week.

My $0.02... back when I actually ran a FF league (12 years ago - I don't do that anymore) and we had the same guys that had been playing FFL for over a decade, we always agreed that we would NEVER play Week 17... for the exact reasons mentioned above. I remember one year a couple of guys would have had almost half their teams sitting Week 17... in the Championship round.

I would never be in a league that played Week 17.

Thank you. Was a little thrown off by BJJ there.

I can't remember but I think my team had the Rams D, Goff, Gurley and Woods - so no way my bench was going to recover from that.

We started our "buddies" league back in 1986. There were just 8 of us so we only played 16 weeks because it was easier to make the schedule work. But all of us noticed how some of our players "sat" the last week of the season. It was one thing to lose a player during a bye week. That's the way it goes and everyone was affected by that. But to build the best team you could build only to have your best QB (say - John Elway back then who was on my team) to play a quarter or less when you are trying to win a few hundred bucks...

Screw that.

I've already drafted 15 money league auctions and all went pretty much how I wanted. It won't hurt me to play with some of the guys in here just for fun in one snake draft. No big deal. Its not for $$$.

Wow were you eliminated in all of your leagues by week 11 last year? If you'll have been waiting 41 weeks to play by week one, given there are 52 weeks in a year, had you played all 17 weeks last year, your wait would have only been 35 weeks. I can see why you are so eager to get going.

Yeah, I don't know any leagues with serious stakes that would have week 17 be a part of deciding anything. Though in standard leagues, teams should all be so stacked I'd imagine you should have good options regardless, but of course you always want your best players available.

I'm assuming this was why I was messaged. I'd be game for it. Would be my first time doing 2 leagues at once. Last year I ended up 3rd in my other league. Antonio Brown being out the last two weeks killed any chance I had of winning.

If there's another spot I'd be down to join as long as I can make the draft. UK based so might be difficult depending on the time.
