It's not tough. It's 1 more year vs 2 more years. If you keep him, he might even be tradeable next year as an expiring contract. You stretch him, you're looking at his contract on your books for 2019, 2020, and 2021, with no ability to move it at all.

I hear you but Joakim Noah is unreadable unless you taking back long term contracts let’s be serious

This Pills move screams Dolan commanding them to get rid of Noah bc timing makes 0 sense and it adds 2 years and a bigger year cap hit.

Just another IE why Knicks will be mediocre bc Dolan has his hands in the cookie jar.

This is the problem with freaking out before reading. The whole point of waiting until september to stretch him is that only his last year is being stretched. So no, they're not adding 2 years & a bigger year cap hit.

From what I've read before is that stretching Joah this upcoming Sept is pretty much the same thing as stretching him later. If FO deems him as destructive to the team then so be it. Get rid of him now before he does some damage.

If that is the case, then I stand correct and it makes total sense to stretch Noah now! Thx for correction.

Not quite now, but if they wait 3 weeks (until September 1st) then only the final year will be stretched over the next 3 years, opening 12M in 2019 cap space.

Thibs already woke. Might even be one step ahead as he calls up Kirk Hinrich to come out of retirement and forms the Minnesota TimberBulls.

Never said that. The photographer sitting down or being 4'11 might of had something to do with it.

I think the Knicks are going to go as far as their back court. All eyes on second year, Frank Ntilikina and 4th year, Emmanuel Mudiay. To add more intrigue, coach Fizzles said, "We'll sort you out (Mudiay)." What does that mean and what will Emmanuel Mudiay's role be in the NEW New York Knicks.

Mudiay looking the same, Frank looks like MR. Fantastic (Fantastic Four), & Kanter continues to try to dunk since a Knicks Rookie Center does so with ease.
