Outside of Grand Central highway, Long Island sucks for getting around. Also, get some fuqn street lamps & proper sidewalks up man! :banghead:

Getting around LI is a cake walk compared to the boroughs. The only person I have to rely on is me and my car. No is the L train running? Where can I get a cab? Is the bus going this way? It took me an hour and a half to get from fresh meadows to Great Neck which is about 4.5 miles away the other day.

The only highway in LI worth 2 cents is Grand Central.

And again, get some damn lamp posts! :D

Northern state to Grand Central is a fun drive.

There is no Grand Central on Long Island it's called the Northern State and it's not a highway it's a parkway :D As long as you are not driving at 7-8:30 am or 4:30-6 PM getting around is easy.

The lack of lamp posts is to keep mofos from looking at our property at night.

Yeah, I know. I had everything at my fingertips in Philly. I got spoiled. The good news is that I get to cook more which I love to do.

And, btw, what's up with all these guys sporting mustaches like from the 70s? I swear this place is like in a time warp except with more vacant strip malls.

The moustache thing might be because of the high amount of nypd from 60s-80s who live on lawn island.

Edit: Just saw the post you wrote after this one lmao.

 We independently corroborated ourselves. We can probably add correctional officers in there too.

Is that the same as Pappa Rellena (Peruvian)?

If so, I got a great spot on the Hicksville/Plainview border. They have Pappa Rellena sometimes but always have amazing food. Easily the best Peruvian I have found outside Queens. Itā€™s called Candela Bistro on South Oyster Bay Rd about a block north of Old Country Rd.
Trust me on this...

Good look, Iā€™m around that way all the time for work. Not surprised good Spanish food is in the Jewish neighborhood. my wife loves Peruvian arroz con pollo (they make it with spinach I think) and yea pappa rellena is the same thing.

Grand Central Parkway covers all of Nassau and connects from Jackie Robinson from Brooklyn. From the Queens/Nassau end it's called Northern State. ;)

Grand Central is really good because for the most part it moves well, even with traffic. Unlike say Conduit or Van Wyck.

The lack of lamp posts is why people get hit by cars at night and why there's so many accidents.

Peach & Raspberry Snapples over ice are great with it. Sprinkle some pepper flakes on the slice. It's a wrap! :D

@Mase: I feel you on the food & beverages. Just outside NYC tho, they've been doing great things I hear. :)

Every freaking neighborhood is changing, it sucks sooo bad. I don't know why these freakin hipsters cant just stay their a$$ in the midwest or wherever the hell they came from. Pretty soon they are going to take over Brownsville and East NY.
