I dunno... pretty sure they all believe they drafted Euro LeBron.

Just like we all believe we drafted the next Hakeem/Shaq.

LeBron vs Hakeem, let’s get it!

JMO but Ayton has much more of a shot becoming the next Hakeem than Doncic does becoming the next LeBron. Ayton at least has the physical tools.

Hey guys, a good mate of mine runs a Phoenix Suns podcast called “Seven Seconds or Less”. They recently did a podcast on Ayton which some of you may find of interest:

lol Doncic has a better shot of being the next jimmer...

I bet he will be back in Europe in no time where he can be a star.

I don't think anyone (not even Doncic's agent, or family) thinks he will be anything like LeBron. Most expect him to be a cross of Hayward/Ginobili. Most places have his ceiling as a rich man's Gordan Hayward which is a pretty damn good player.

Neither player comparisons are useful because neither projections are likely to come true. Even pre-draft I've avoided making player comparisons where possible because no two players are the same and instead I look at what their projected skill set mean for their impact.

There isn't a real good comparison for Doncic. He reminds me most of Bird, but I think he's even a better passer. They are both really good rebounders. Bird wasn't a great 3 pt shooter early but when it became a thing and he was in the contest he walked in and told everyone he was going to beat them. He just had so much confidence that it seemed liked he willed himself to win 3 pt contests, and lead his team to championships. What made Bird great was his instinct. Doncic seems like this type of guy.

He has some Harden and Ginobili moves.

Love this. A little motivation between them. Hope Ayton performs well Nov 19, but even if he struggles, it will be a motivator.

Maybe we can give Ayton the nickname Lion?

Really like this fake beef thing going on with Embiid and Ayton. Maybe it'll bring a rivalry between the two teams in a couple of years. Though, Embiid will have to stay healthy, and of course Ayton will have to live up to lofty expectations.

While some of you guys still share the anti-Doncic propaganda, Luka and Deandre looking like best buds on instagram :D
I hope we'll see the euro Bron and bahamian Hakeem in the same team one day(let it be PHX or DAL) :D

It is just because they share the same agency. They are not close at all.

I love Embiid’s personality. I wish more players had that instead of the trying to be politically correct bs that almost all the star players these days have.

Hope that dude can stay healthy and him/Ayton becomes a big thing.

4. What's the biggest purchase you've made since signing your rookie deal?

Ayton:
I got my mom a house. Her reaction was priceless. Obviously, you can't repay her for what she's done for you, but I'm trying. Trying to keep her as comfortable as possible, stress-free. She is living probably five or 10 minutes from [Phoenix] owner [Robert Sarver]. She lives in the same area as him and Devin Booker.

Deandre Ayton is the answer to the question, What if David Robinson had Shaq's brain?

5. Best advice you've received early in your pro career?

Ayton: I'm still waiting for some good advice. I'm waiting for my veterans to come back to Arizona from their lovely vacations. I'm sure they'll help me and have plenty of advice.
