I think he'll be better than Zion, I'd still take Little, Sekou, and Reddish over him though. 19 is going to be an extremely deep draft for wings.

Not a fan of Langford. I'm not sure how he's ever going to be a great impact player with his approach and skill-set. He might be a decent individual scorer at the next level but besides that I've seen little to convince me that he'll make a difference on an NBA court. But as always, I'll keep refraining from taking a firm stance on any prospect before the college season has started – maybe he shows me something that changes my mind.

You want somone to name high school kids? The only thing we have to go on are internet clips and a few games that are broadcasted. If all the scouting reports claim that the kid is a good defender I'm more opt to believe them.....

Romeo Langford

Romeo Langford seems like an intriguing SG prospect with an advanced offensive skill set.

Who do you guys think would be his best NBA comparison?

His YouTube highlights remind me of Zach Lavine with his scoring and dunking abilities.

I just hope he’s not nearly as bad defensively as Lavine is.

I'd like him more if he was a couple inches bigger....thats what she said

I do think he has the highest Trae Young potential this year. By that I mean, he could put up big stats and get drafted higher than he should based off it.

he's 6'6 with a 6'11 wingspan bro. that's a great size for a SG.

and i am not seeing the trae young comparison either (not a fan of trae young)

Well I think considering my location to him, the players he's played against that I know, and the type of other evals I've heard personally that I should occasionally reiterate that a broke man's Michael redd shouldn't get this much hype

It would be one thing if that poster at least provided a detailed critique that touched on why he didn't think Langford could improve on his weaknesses to succeed or what he didn't like about the kid's game...like KT has done about Sekou.

But just sniping like that doesn't really offer much to the discussion.

Competiveness, motor, defense all hard to teach. If i wasn't seeing this, knowing a high d1 player he played against quite a bit and a couple mutual friends who seen him that also played in the nba. I haven't been very clear minded since April as my fiancee has spent half of the time in the hospital. I simply feel Romeo has benefitted from maximizing skill at a younger age that he hasn't worked to get better. Sometimes your gifted but you stop because you believe the hype.

Just did his preseason game breakdown vs Orthez-Pau (Okobo's team from last year) on Twitter.

As for Romeo, I'm not sure if I ever got around to doing his weakness video, but the only glaring weakness in his game is his athleticism. Apparently he's been dealing with a back issue the last two years, which is why he's looked less explosive. His defense is usually focused, but his athleticism hurts here - even with the back injury, I never thought he was that explosive. The shot is also not consistent and the release is not great (not broken). I do think his playmaking is underrated and for that reason, I don't see Redd (also Redd was a knockdown shooter who was excellent moving off ball - Romeo doesn't have that mobility/quickness off ball).

That said, all of the work I've done is from his AAU games on Synergy and some of his HS games. Curious to see how he does at Indiana.

(PM me if anyone wants to discuss further - just wanted to pop in. Hi cgf and melo!)

He hasn’t gotten off to hot a start from 3 but I like his game a lot.
