The Ji-bait Weather Discussion Thread

I like his page, it's informative, but he keeps running into the issue of hyping a storm 10 days out and getting everyone's hopes up. Then as you can see, the closer it got, the less likely it was happening but was still clinging to the 1% chance that it would.

Snowstorm update. This is potentially a 2 wave event. 1st wave gives us rain changing to a fairly healthy dumping of snow Monday Night and Tuesday. The biggest question is...what happens to the leftover energy(wave 2). Does it consolidate enough to crank up another coastal for us or does it take it out to sea. If it heads towards us, that could potentially give us a blockbuster. Most models had it going out to sea yesterday but our trying to bring it back a bit. The 18z NAM is very aggressive as you can see in the loop. The NAM at 84 hours isnt really a useful model but sometimes it picks up on trends. Lots to watch this week.

Last nights European run was historical. Could be nasty commute this afternoon rush hour as rain changes to sleet then snow. Then overnight into Wednesday and Wednesday night is a slow moving crush job. Still going 5-10 but upside is very much in play and I would say likely . I think Loudoun and most other schools in the burbs close till Thursday. For Loudoun county, ive been telling my friends privately since last week this storm could produce double digits...so well see

Its funny, he has 31k people following that page and yet on Twitter the guy is a troll esp at Glenn Consor during games with his fire Ernie tweets. :lol:

Here's a hint folks. Put some damn content together. Stop quoting twitter and other people's content and create your own!! Put it out there!! FTR, i got over 40K on just one business instagram. 30K on another. and over 3K on FB. <--without trying!! Ive got another 2-3 K on my personal gram. :lol:

twitter is the only one where i barely have any because I just joined last year and dont try at all to get followers.<--twitter is not really a way to get business for me. So i just talk crap to politicians. I Didn't really try on IG either but i ran some promos on my business side and people follow to get the deals.

Jay's Wintry Mix

Looks like we are going to have a quick moving but dynamic storm for tomorrow. Temps will be dropping to the upper 20s by tomorrow morning and snow will be falling heavily especially in areas closer to DC. Warm ground temps and speed of storm will limit accumulations i think from reaching what the euro/gfs maps show but I think we can get enough to get 6 plus inches in the area. the temps upstairs will be below 32 at around 1:00am and then by 7am..all levels should be well below 32. So I am thinking around 6 inches area wide with amounts maybe up to 10 inches. The 12z european model shows substantial snow for everyone but there is a sharp cutoff by the MD/PA border. Maybe Steve will do a guest post tonight!

Jeebus. Yesterday was such a beautiful day; an almost incredible difference in just a half a day. It's coming down hard in my route - Gaithersburg to Bethesda. It's after 9 AM, and I'm the only 1 in an office that usually has about 25 (100 in pre-COVID daze). Ji/Jay nailed it, per usual.
