Re: Premier League Draft Thread: Weekapaug/TylerDurden/BW
The first domino has fallen, when will the next?
By the way, the season is starting earlier this year, Oct. 16th, years past it was Oct. 25th, so a little over a week sooner.

He's probably not the 1 on the board but I just want him so will take Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Of course you would take the Greek freak, sigh.. I guess I'll take James Harden then.

Ha, bucks are my other favorite team and who knows when I'll be high enough to pick him again so had to pull the trigger.Ulquiorra wrote:Of course you would take the Greek freak, sigh.. I guess I'll take James Harden then.
Hardens not a bad fall back plan at 3.

I'd have taken him 2 as well.
If Davis is healthy he's so far ahead of everyone else cos of the 'complete' game he has.
If Giannis can get 80% at the line and close to a 3 a game then he's right behind him.

You guys might know, my original thought was being questioned. I am long contemplating. Would potentially swap 1st, 2nd and 4th round picks with someone since there is no official clock yet.

Not for me, thanks. Marginal improvement as I pick before the great value drop-off and I already rehearsed my draft strat picking @6th too much to start replanning now.

Re: Premier League Draft Thread: BW/Safety Pickle/Mathiaspw
I suppose I will go with Towns again. He is actually who I figured I'd pick when the order came out unless Giannis somehow slipped.

Yep. You've ruined my original draft plan. Time for Plan B.bwgood77 wrote:I suppose I will go with Towns again. He is actually who I figured I'd pick when the order came out unless Giannis somehow slipped.

Yeah, he was who I figured I'd pick and who I figured you and Qwigglez figured I pick, but I gave serious thoughts about others and wanted to move down a bit, but not quite to the bottom of the draft.

I know you wanted to trade, but I really think Ayton should slide to at least 12.

Really hard to pass on Curry/Durant/James, but I'll go with Jokic

Ha, I really wanted Jokic, but thought I could trade down to 6 or 7 and get him, but I guess not...but would have been ok with someone else as low as 7. I kept looking at Jokic's 18 game streak to end the season
I mean look at this game log to end the season (games 58-75).. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jokicni01/gamelog/2018/
On top of that, look at his Feb/Mar/Apr splits...like 3pt% (crazy good %s from 3) in addition to all the assists and boards..decent steals too.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jokicni01/splits/2018
Part of me wanted him more than Towns but I couldn't find one expert on one site that had him higher, but I won't be surprised if he ends up better, and so nice to have the assists at C (my biggest problem with Towns).. and then Towns never misses games (knock on wood) whereas most of the other guys in that range do.
Very nice pick.

Yeah he's who I was pondering moving up for, love Jokic.

Would you have taken him at 4?
