Much has been made about the effort Auburn displayed in that game but UCF fairy tale believers refuse to accept it. Look, that is Auburn’s problem. Heck, even beyond Auburn as we see big names skip bowl games entirely if it isn’t a playoff game. It’s a sad state for college football as a whole but it is the truth.

Playing poorly is one thing. Auburn didn’t care to play. That is something different entirely.

You can’t use that game as justification for an argument that the 2017 Knights could withstand a full season of motivated Bama, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss and so on opponents.

UCF proved they were too good for the opponents they faced in the regular season and need a lift in competition.

UCF did NOT prove they can be as succeful with a full P5 schedule.

That's such nonsensical post-losing BS. "Auburn didn't care" "Auburn didn't try".

Auburn players themselves talked about how they were ready and giving full effort. Watching the game the commentators noted in the first quarter a number of times that the media wondering if Auburn would show up ready to play was false and they were giving full effort.

Before games it's UCF can't compete, they'll get smoked.
After games, it's the other team didn't show up, they weren't interested.

SEC schools like to pound their chest about their SOSs, yet Alabama's last year before the CFP was pretty damn weak if you ask me.

we cant help it if we broke FSU in the first game of the season :D
they were 10-3 and #8 the year before.

The accounts of the incident look very bad.

They do for sure. The one silver lining would be that the other players tried to intervene, and there's even details suggesting two of them consoled her while the police came. Should they have done more? Hard to say given we weren't there, but it sounds like they did far more than most.

Obviously we don't have all the facts, but what we have heard is just....awful.

To say interest in the program has grown is an understatement...

Great turnout last night, 44k.

And for those counting actual heads, almost all tickets were used.

Defense again having troubles up front. Plenty of missed tackles, poor tackling angles, and not much penetration.

Milton was great, and had a nice bounce back after the SCS game

Killans just is not good running between the tackles. JH is the second coach to continue this.

I was rather disappointed we allowed so many points. That won't fly against better teams.

lol, he went to HIS school with a storied history. This was an easy decision he would make 11 out 10 times today. Nebraska’s need for a change indicates he inherited a bad product. No one is changing their mind due to 3 games.

UCF is a stepping stone.

Nebraska is a destination.

LOL I’m here for Magicfan101’s weekly “ UCF sucks despite winning by 30+” rants. Did not disappoint. Come on man—we get it, the SOS is pretty poor, but they can only play the other team on the field. They’ve been crushing each opponent so far. It is sort of anticlimactic that we will almost certainly finish just at or above 10 even if we go undefeated but it is what it is. Maybe the powers that be give us a nod to put up or shut up this season if we keep playing this way.

Nebraska is 0-3 for first time since 1945... he definitely regrets it!

Fans like you are why I’m so embarrassed to be a Golden Knight.

You settle for your participation trophies and fail to see why others want more even at the risk of failure.

No one is talking about settling but what is this constant whining about how our opponents suck going to accomplish? There is nothing substantive, constructive, or new about these posts. I and many other actual fans of UCF are enjoying the season and not getting hung up on things that have zero chance of changing. The schedule is what it is man—if we were losing or barely winning, then by all means go for it, but we are taking care of business. There is nothing that can be done about the conference, opponents, etc. at this time. It also takes both UCF and other schools to agree to change any of what you complain of.

Then maybe you should think about becoming a Knight supporter as the golden knights nickname ended years ago.
