I literally have watch EVERY Jazz game Hayward played thanks to NBA LP.
Few things are consistent.
1. Hayward looks checked out though he is not
2. Not a huge emotional guy.
3. Even when Healthy ALWAYS starts the season slow and literally ramps up month over month.
4. Very unselfish, at times too unselfish IMO but I think that is why guys like playing with him.
5. Next thing you know his stats are awesome and you didn't even notice it.
Now the Celtics are WAAAAY more talented than the Jazz so it will be interesting to see if Hayward lets others take theirs over his.
I must confess I do not know how teams decide who should take more shots, I assume they plan it out to an extent...
Hayward got paid, he will not be as concerned this year on his stats as I am sure others were.
He said recently he still doesn't have the liftoff off his left foot. That tells me he is 80% give or take.
It took Paul George almost 1 whole bad season to get beck to form. I honestly do not know what to expect from Hayward this year.
I just hope by the 2nd half of the season he is close to his old form.
Stinks for the Celtics.
Year1 - out injury
Year2 - getting back to form hopefully be the end of the year
Year3 - after this hopefully fully healthy season he can opt out ...(Maybe I am hopeful, but I hope he opts out , resigns with the Celtics at a Discount to keep the stars together.... Time will tell
Thanks but I am pretty sure we have all done our research over here.
