We literally gave up 9 3 pointers in a single quarter without actually contesting a single one of them properly yet all is forgiven because Westbrook had a horrible, horrible 4th quarter.

It must be nice to be Westbrook's coach because he'll always let you hide behind his shortcomings.

didn't westbrook give up like half of those? lol.

Why can't we blame both? They both sucked tonight.

I'm not jumping on the GS bandwagon.

I just can't deal with the dumbass decision making, coaching, shot selection, bad defense. I need to feast my eyes on good basketball teams to remember what a good team looks like.

Part of why I don't post during GTs is this, would recommend NOLA and Denver. I like some of the young guys too (Doncic). Also whoever's playing Houston or the Lakers. I've started to enjoy basketball again this season because of it. Would recommend.

If I had to pick another team to follow this year it'd be Toronto.

They're up there too. Bucks as well with Bud.

i keep coming back to the fred katz quote- they don't know why they lost. it follows from that- they don't know why they win. this is a confused team without much in the way of player leadership besides russ' ferocity.

If only basketball teams hired some guy to provide leadership. :dontknow:

I wonder if this offseason Presti is going to brag again about still working off the same blueprint from ten years ago?

Pedal to the metal 100 miles an hour all the time. It's sort of just action without provision for anything else. It reminds me of that line from the Big Lebowski

We're still building positive momentum chemistry, give it another ten years.

because we only blame Westbrook On realgm didn't you notice mine as well join the party. Pg going 7-22 is westbrook's fault, so is adams not rebounding are team not being able to shoot, Donovan not being able to coach etc............ all Westbrook

Dude the gb is a cesspool. Don’t waste your time. The negativity in this board is at least by people who want the franchise to succeed.

You can't expect a head coach to do that as well. He's doing all that he can with his 2500 word answers.

Hire somebody with a spine. Maybe then the team will stop being so incredibly stupid and undisciplined.

Here’s a social experiment- get rid of them all and see how each perform independently of one another. Then whoever is right can beat their chest in victory.

Yeah I'm done. Presti can show Billy the door then let himself out afterwards.

This team needs a GM that follows, and betters, existing, successful trends, not someone who's going to die on his hill of athleticism and wingspan.

I actually, stupidly, let myself sorta kinda believe we were going to get our crap and "do this" after we got up by 9 with a little over 4 minutes left.

Never, in a million years, did I think Billy Donovan's offense would hit absolute rock bottom by scoring 1 point the rest of the game.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you Billy of House Donovan, world renowned basketball scholar. The Boston Celtics are indeed starting four guards.

You really don't give Westbrook much credit do you? The guy has had 3 coaches in his pro career if we're counting PJ for like a month and a half. The other two aren't exactly going to inspire much in the way of deference or respect. It doesn't mean he'd be like that for literally anyone.
