Well I'm glad he's playing this well. We desperately needed a solid defense with the bench. 87 DRtG with Noel on the floor through the first five games. Now of course we're just talking about ~80 minutes played, but I still he's going to help this team as the season goes on. They've been turning opposing teams over at a higher rate than they did with Roberson on the floor last season. He's been excellent on the offensive glass so far and has held his own on the defensive glass as well.

Good signing. I would like for him to see more minutes next to Patterson though. Schröder-Abrines-Diallo-Patterson-Noel should provide for more spacing for the bench.

adams for otto porter. anything less than that sort of return and it would be idiotic.

Ive not kept up. Why has porter been so bad this year? I know Washington is a poor mans, dysfunctional version of us.

just a rough start shooting it seems like. porter's been one of the best jump shooters in the league the last two seasons. maybe the undercurrents there are affecting something.

Adams topic is a really hard one, lots of reasons not to trade him, lots of reasons to do so.
He was an absolute monster on our last relevant season, along with Robes, in GSW matchup in 2016.
Our success is absolutely tied to him, aswell as Robes recovery, if we wanna make a crack in West in upcoming timespan.

Agree it would take a Porter level guy at least, and even then it's iffy. I think Porter's issues are partly due to the team conflicts they have going on.

This is a crazy stat: Last night was just the 7th time (!) since 2013 (!) for Russ to not take a 3 in game when played at least 25 minutes in said game. :o

watching jeremy lin has extinguished nearly all of my hope that robes can come back and be reasonably effective. this is why i wouldn't begrudge a salary slot move from c to wing. porter is like a roberson who can shoot.

they do not appreciate him. they want porter to be this 30% usage scorer but that's not his game. when he doesn't attempt double digit shots the washington media goes mental. he's missing his jump shots right now but he's still been on point defensively.

Not even sure its the media now though I haven't read their local stuff much.I think Wall's taking a fair bit of it, and Porter being called passive at the same time. He is underappreciated though

Adams for porter probably wouldn’t get it done. Maybe have to include Ferguson.

Why would we lower Adams' trade value by including Ferguson? :o :P

Uh, thats a stretch, Robes IMO was a top3 defender in the league.
His defensive awareness, IQ, and hustle made up a lot for our lapses in defense.

Who knows what could happen by the end of the deadline ...

Noel looks like an absolute steal and is showing some of the potential he has. He really fills a huge void they had since last year they didn't have a player bigger than 6'8" and no backup center. He does a lot of the little things that win you games, specifically just hustling and getting offensive rebounds which are like gold since they give the team an extra possession. Guys like him and Kanter are absolutely invaluable with their ability to get 4-6 offensive rebounds per game. I continue to be astounded at this team's love affair with Ferguson though. I can't help but think he has incriminating pictures of Presti and Donovan or something like that because there's no logical explanation for him to continuing to be in the starting lineup or really even on the roster (he should be in the g league).

noel orb% is currently 2x his career number. he has never been an orb magnet like either kanter or adams have been. we'll see if he maintains what he's done so far but if he does it'll be a spectacular leap.
